According to the report of the Departmentof Education and Training (DET), the 2025 high school graduation exam will be held at 22 testing locations across the province. This year, nearly 10,000 candidates registered for the exam, of which more than 9,400 are in grade 12, the rest are independent candidates. In order for the exam to be effective, along with the preparation of exam conditions, reducing pressure and creating confidence for candidates is always a concern for schools and parents.
In order for students to confidently enter the exam, the most important condition is to have a solid grasp of knowledge, therefore, in the past time, the Department of Education and Training has implemented 2 trial exams with more than 9,000 12th grade students participating. The trial exam questions closely follow the reference questions of the Ministry of Education and Training , and the stages of organizing the trial exam are carried out in accordance with the procedures as in the real exam. This method not only helps students get acquainted with the exam process and the real exam atmosphere, but also trains their test-taking skills, thereby better preparing mentally for the exam. Along with that, the Department of Education and Training also directs schools to focus on propaganda about the exam so that parents and students can access accurate and timely information.
 “ Keeping a confident and calm spirit is the most important thing before the exam. After a long year of studying, this is the time when you need to believe in what you have accumulated, so don't worry too much, because pressure will only make you prone to making mistakes in unimportant questions. I want to tell candidates when taking the Literature exam, this is the subject I got a high score so I want to share my experience, accordingly I have a habit of making a brief outline before writing to ensure enough ideas and logic; when presenting, you should write clearly, do not use abbreviations and calculate the time reasonably between sections. At the end of the exam, if there is still time, do not rush to hand in your paper, but take a few minutes to review the questions you have done, you may discover some small but important errors". |
At high schools in the province, from the end of May 2025, in addition to review work, schools also focus on organizing thematic activities to disseminate and thoroughly understand the exam regulations, answer questions related to the exam for grade 12 students such as information on prohibitions and regulations in the exam room, to detailed instructions for students to understand the exam structure, new points in graduation and admission, as well as common mistakes in previous years. Thereby helping students understand and grasp issues related to the exam, gradually stabilize their psychology, and confidently enter the official exam.
At Viet Bac High School, the school has been preparing for the exam very early. Right after the review period ended, on the morning of June 21, the school gathered 100% of grade 12 students to thoroughly understand the exam regulations. Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huyen, Vice Principal of the school, said: At this briefing session, the school's Board of Directors also reminded students about preparing their mentality, health, and regular activities such as: avoiding staying up late or studying too hard, supplementing adequate nutrition to increase resistance... All are aimed at creating peace of mind and minimizing stress for students.
 “The exam is an opportunity for those who are proactive and well-prepared. At this time, it is important that candidates maintain a stable lifestyle, get enough sleep, eat on time and prepare everything necessary for the exam day. Before each exam, you should carefully check your exam admission notice, ID card, study tools, personal watch, etc. and plan your transportation to the exam location in advance to avoid being passive when unexpected situations arise. In my opinion, being proactive in every small step will help you maintain a steady mind and do your best on the test." |
Along with the school, the family also plays an important role in providing psychological support and creating learning conditions for students. Therefore, schools have organized parent meetings before the exam to provide information about the exam and guide parents to coordinate with the school to monitor and support their children. Through propaganda, many parents have proactively arranged family activities to create a quiet space, arrange scientific eating and resting times, and at the same time encourage their children's spirit with specific actions.
Ms. Ngo Van Thuy, Nhat Tien commune (Huu Lung district) has a child studying in class 12A1, Huu Lung High School, shared: In the past few days, I have always paid attention to preparing nutritious meals for my child, adding fresh fruit to keep him healthy; reminding him not to stay up late, paying attention to regulating reasonable time between studying and exercising. At the same time, family members also create a happy atmosphere, helping the child stay mentally comfortable before entering the exam.
In fact, reducing exam pressure does not only come from the school or family, but also from the students themselves, which is reflected in their self-adjustment of their psychology, activities and study plans. Chu Phuong Linh, class 12C1, Trang Dinh High School said: During this time, I was reminded by my teachers to balance between studying and resting, not to study too hard. Therefore, every day, after school, I often help my parents with housework to relax and create a comfortable mindset, and at the same time eat and sleep on time. Thanks to that, I currently feel quite comfortable, just waiting for the exam day.
From the specific actions, it can be seen that the work of preparing the mindset for 12th grade candidates in the province has been contributing positively, helping students to have an optimistic, proactive, and confident spirit when taking the exam, maximizing their abilities in the 2025 high school graduation exam. With careful and synchronous preparation, we believe that candidates in the province will enter the 2025 high school graduation exam with a proactive, calm, and confident mindset to pass the exam with the highest results.
