According to a report from the Department of Education and Training, the 2025 high school graduation exam will be held at 22 testing locations throughout the province. This year, nearly 10,000 candidates have registered to take the exam, including over 9,400 students currently in 12th grade, with the remainder being independent candidates. To ensure the exam is conducted effectively, along with preparing the necessary conditions for organizing the exam, schools and parents are always concerned about reducing pressure and building confidence among candidates.
To ensure students confidently enter the exam, the most important condition is a solid grasp of knowledge. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training has recently organized two mock exams with over 9,000 12th-grade students participating. The mock exam questions closely followed the sample questions from the Ministry of Education and Training , and the organization of the mock exams followed the same procedures as the real exam. This approach not only helps students familiarize themselves with the exam process and atmosphere but also hones their test-taking skills, thus better preparing them psychologically for the exam. In addition, the Department of Education and Training has also directed schools to focus on disseminating information about the exam so that parents and students have access to accurate and timely information.
“ Maintaining confidence and composure is the most important thing before an exam. After a long school year, this is the time to trust what you've accumulated, so don't worry too much, because pressure only makes you more likely to make mistakes on questions you shouldn't. I want to share some advice for candidates taking the Literature exam, as I scored high in this subject. I have a habit of creating a brief outline before writing to ensure that all the points are complete and logical; when presenting, write clearly, avoid abbreviations, and manage your time appropriately between sections. At the end of the exam, if you have time, don't rush to submit your paper; spend a few minutes reviewing the questions you've answered. You might discover some small but important mistakes.” |
At high schools throughout the province, starting from the end of May 2025, in addition to review sessions, schools will also focus on organizing thematic workshops to disseminate and explain exam regulations, answer questions related to the exam for 12th-grade students, such as information on prohibited activities and regulations in the exam room, detailed guidance on the exam structure, new points in graduation and university admissions, as well as common mistakes in previous years. This helps students understand and grasp issues related to the exam, gradually stabilize their psychology, and confidently enter the official exam.
At Viet Bac High School, preparations for the exam began very early. Immediately after the review period ended, on the morning of June 21st, the school gathered 100% of the 12th-grade students to brief them on the exam regulations. Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huyen, the school's Vice Principal, stated: "During this briefing, the school's management also reminded students about preparing mentally, physically, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle, such as avoiding staying up late or over-studying, and ensuring adequate nutrition to boost immunity... All of this aims to create a sense of security and minimize stress for the students."
“The exam is an opportunity for those who are proactive and well-prepared. At this time, it's important for candidates to maintain a stable daily routine, get enough sleep, eat regular meals, and prepare everything necessary for exam day. Before each exam, you should carefully check your exam notification slip, identity card, study materials, personal watch, etc., and plan your transportation to the exam location in advance to avoid being caught off guard in case of unexpected situations. In my opinion, being proactive in every small detail will help you maintain a positive mindset and perform your best on the exam.” |
Along with the school, the family also plays a crucial role in providing psychological support and creating a conducive learning environment for students. Therefore, schools organized parent meetings before the exams to provide information about the exams and guide parents on how to cooperate with the school in monitoring and supporting their children. Through this communication, many parents proactively arranged their family life to create a peaceful environment, scheduled meals and rest periods scientifically, and encouraged their children with concrete actions.
Ms. Ngo Van Thuy, from Nhat Tien commune (Huu Lung district), whose child is in class 12A1 at Huu Lung High School, shared: "In the past few days, I have always paid attention to preparing nutritious meals for my child, supplementing with fresh fruits to ensure good health; reminding my child not to stay up late, and to balance study time and exercise appropriately. At the same time, family members have created a cheerful atmosphere to help my child maintain a relaxed spirit before the exam."
In reality, reducing exam pressure doesn't just come from school or family solutions, but also from the students themselves. This is demonstrated through their self-adjustment of their mindset, daily routines, and study plans. Chu Phuong Linh, a student in class 12C1 at Trang Dinh High School, said: "During this time, my teachers have reminded me to balance studying and resting, and not to over-study. Therefore, every day after school, I often help my parents with household chores to relax and create a comfortable mindset, while also eating and sleeping on time. Thanks to this, I feel quite relaxed now, just waiting for the exam day."
From these specific actions, it is evident that the preparation of 12th-grade students in the province has been making a positive contribution, helping students to be optimistic, proactive, and confident in themselves when taking the exam, maximizing their abilities in the 2025 high school graduation exam. With thorough and coordinated preparation, it is believed that students in the province will enter the 2025 high school graduation exam with a proactive, calm, and confident mindset, achieving the highest possible results.
