• A transformation in healthcare.
  • Provincial leaders visit and extend New Year greetings to frontline medical facilities.
  • Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai visits and congratulates veteran medical staff and medical units.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once advised, "A good doctor must be like a loving mother." This teaching has become a guiding principle and a standard of professional ethics for many generations of Vietnamese doctors. Upholding this noble tradition, the medical staff of Ca Mau province always demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, dedication to their profession, and wholehearted commitment to their patients.

Whether at the provincial or grassroots level, the image of dedicated "white-coated soldiers" silently contributing to patients has become familiar and close to the hearts of the people. This is not only a professional responsibility but also a noble mission that every medical professional always keeps in mind.

Bearing in mind President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "A good doctor is like a loving mother," for many years, the medical staff of Ca Mau province have always upheld a high sense of responsibility, dedication to their profession, and wholeheartedly served patients.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health, said that in recent years, the health sector in Ca Mau province has achieved many important results. The health system from the provincial level to the grassroots has been invested in and upgraded, becoming more modern and sophisticated. Many advanced medical equipment has been put into use, helping to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment. Provincial hospitals have successfully implemented many new and specialized techniques, contributing to reducing the rate of referrals to higher-level hospitals, saving costs and time for patients.

The caring attitude, sense of responsibility, and dedication of the medical staff contribute to building public trust in the healthcare sector.

In addition, preventive healthcare continues to be emphasized and implemented comprehensively and effectively. Expanded immunization programs, disease prevention and control, epidemiological surveillance, and food safety and hygiene assurance are carried out rigorously, contributing to good control of the disease situation in the area and protecting public health.

With the motto "putting the patient at the center," the health sector of Ca Mau province is constantly reforming administrative procedures, innovating service styles and attitudes, aiming for patient satisfaction. Many good models and effective practices have been implemented, such as: green, clean, and beautiful hospitals; friendly hospitals; application of information technology in medical examination and treatment management; and cashless payments.

The health sector in Ca Mau province has clearly identified that, in order to better serve the people, the medical staff must constantly study, train, and improve their professional qualifications, skills, and medical ethics.

When discussing the healthcare sector, it's impossible not to mention the silent but immense sacrifices of doctors and medical staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the outbreak occurred, local healthcare workers risked their lives, readily volunteering to go to the epicenter of the epidemic, all for the health and lives of the people.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai affirmed: The health sector is one of the important pillars in the socio-economic development, ensuring social security and improving the quality of life for the people. To be worthy of that pillar, local health needs to define sustainable and comprehensive development goals. This includes focusing on grassroots healthcare; improving the quality of medical examination and treatment; promoting digital transformation; and building a team of healthcare professionals who are both politically sound and professionally competent, better meeting the healthcare needs of the people in the new situation.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai visited People's Physician Truong Minh Thang, former Director of the Ca Mau Department of Health, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025).

Celebrating Vietnamese Doctors' Day on February 27th is not only an occasion to honor and express gratitude to those who wear white coats, but also a meaningful moment for each healthcare worker to reflect on their journey, with their efforts, sacrifices, and silent concerns. From there, they can continue to cultivate faith, maintain the flame of passion, nurture medical ethics and a sense of responsibility, and steadfastly continue on the noble path of caring for and protecting the health of the people .
