Participating teams competed in several engaging sections including talent, knowledge, and situational problem-solving. In the talent section, teams provided an overview of their unit and participating members, highlighting the position and role of the security forces at the grassroots level in maintaining political security, order, and social safety in the locality. The knowledge section focused on topics related to the organization and operation of the security forces at the grassroots level, such as their functions, duties, and powers; working relationships; interpersonal skills; public relations and mobilization; and relevant legal regulations. The competition content closely reflected practical situations, helping members consolidate their knowledge and improve their ability to apply it to their daily work.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, Deputy Head of the Security and Order Protection Team at Binh Phu 2 hamlet, Binh Hoa commune, said: “I was very excited to participate in the competition because it gave me the opportunity to learn more about the forces involved in protecting security and order at the grassroots level. This is also an opportunity for me to acquire more skills and experience to continue supporting the local police in disseminating the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws to the people, contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.”
As one of the high-achieving contestants in the competition, Mr. Pham Nhan Phuoc - a member of the security force at Dong An 6 hamlet, Long Xuyen ward - shared: “Before participating in the competition, the team members reviewed legal knowledge and practiced handling real-life situations. Through the competition, I learned many useful experiences and became more confident in performing my duties of maintaining security in the locality.”
According to Lieutenant Colonel Vo Van Chinh, Head of Long Xuyen Ward Police, the highlight of the competition was the many skits and scenarios that closely reflected reality, vividly portraying common issues in the area such as crime prevention, social evils, domestic violence, disputes among the people, fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue. Through theatrical performances, legal regulations were conveyed in a relatable and easily understandable way, contributing to raising awareness and compliance with the law among the people.
According to Nguyen Tan Phong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Hoa Commune, the forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level play a crucial role in ensuring political security and maintaining social order and safety in the locality. This force is close to the people, regularly coordinating with the commune police to gather information, disseminate information, and encourage the people to comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; participating in preventing and combating various types of crimes and violations of the law at the grassroots level. "The competition not only has professional significance but also creates a vibrant atmosphere of emulation among the forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. Through the competition, many members demonstrated a sense of responsibility and dedication to their work, contributing to building the image of those participating in maintaining security and order who are close to the people, serving the people," Mr. Phong said.
The widespread impact of the competition was also demonstrated through the interest and encouragement of numerous officials, union members, association members, and citizens. Through this, the role, position, and contributions of the forces involved in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level were recognized, creating further motivation for them to continue their commitment to the area and successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.
Evaluating the quality of the competition, Colonel Huynh Thanh Lam - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department - said that through the three competition rounds, the teams demonstrated a solid understanding of new legal regulations, the ability to handle situations quickly and correctly, following procedures and practical realities. Many teams effectively handled situations related to conflicts among the people, fire prevention and control, scene protection, and coordination in resolving incidents arising in the area, thereby showcasing the image of grassroots security and order protection officers who are approachable, responsible, and trusted by the people.
The competition also serves as an opportunity to assess the quality of activities of the forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level after being restructured according to the new model. From this, localities can promptly identify good practices and effective models to replicate, while also identifying shortcomings and limitations that need to be addressed in order to improve the quality of activities in the future.
