Measuring heart rate, checking vital signs, and attentively inquiring about patients' well-being... these are the tasks Dr. Cuong has performed for over 30 years, yet he has never allowed himself to be complacent or ignore any abnormal symptoms. For him, the health and lives of his patients are always paramount. His meticulous and comprehensive examinations, combined with his knowledge and practical experience, enable him to promptly develop effective treatment plans, helping many recover quickly.

Doctor Cuong once shared that during the peak days of the Covid-19 pandemic, when he saved patients and witnessed them recover and express their gratitude, he was truly moved and even more motivated to continue training, improving his skills, and better fulfilling his duties as a military doctor.

After graduating from the Military Medical Academy in 1993 and starting work at Military Hospital 120, his initial passion for the profession grew, and the more he became involved, the more he realized his responsibility to study and improve his skills to live up to the trust and aspirations of his patients.

Throughout his career, the Nephrology and Dialysis Department is where he has devoted the most of his passion. From its humble beginnings with only 6 nurses and 2 doctors, after 14 years of persistent development, the department has become a strong unit with 6 doctors, over 30 highly qualified nurses, and 59 modern hemodialysis machines regularly treating more than 400 patients with end-stage renal failure. Many patients have recovered after treatment, returned to their daily lives, and always express their gratitude to the "angels in white" here.

In every position he held, Dr. Cuong remained steadfast in his ideal of "improving medical skills and cultivating medical ethics." As Deputy Director in charge of Planning and General Affairs, and also in charge of professional guidance for the Nephrology-Dialysis and Intensive Care departments, he and his team of doctors and medical staff continuously applied scientific and technological advancements in management, organization, and professional work, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment. This ensured that Military Hospital 120 truly became a trusted address for soldiers and people in the Southwestern provinces of Vietnam. In his managerial role, he always upheld the motto "dedicated, thorough, safe, and effective," setting a good example in his work, directing his colleagues to care for patients with utmost responsibility and compassion, and using the joy of patients as motivation to continue learning, researching, and improving his skills.

After more than 30 years of dedication, Dr. Le Manh Cuong was awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal by the State in 2021, along with numerous commendations and certificates of merit. But the most precious reward for him is the trust of his patients and the confidence of his superiors and colleagues. For him, Military Hospital 120 has long been his second home, a place where he always hopes to continue contributing even more to the cause of caring for and protecting the health of soldiers and people in the beautiful Mekong Delta.
