According to Oilprice at 4:30 AM on January 27, 2025 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was priced at $74.66 per barrel, an increase of 0.05% (equivalent to an increase of $0.04 per barrel).

Similarly, Brent crude oil prices stood at $78.43 per barrel, up 0.27% (equivalent to an increase of $0.21 per barrel).

At the end of the trading week, WTI crude oil was at $77.39 per barrel last week, falling to $74.66 per barrel this week. Overall for the week, WTI crude oil decreased by $2.73 per barrel, or 3.5%, compared to the previous week.
Brent crude oil was at $80.79 per barrel last week, falling to $78.43 per barrel this week. Overall for the week, Brent crude oil decreased by $2.36 per barrel, or 2.8%, compared to the previous week.
Thus, world oil prices have ended their four-day winning streak and simultaneously reversed course, falling sharply.
Oil prices slipped another 1% after President Trump, in a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, urged Saudi Arabia and OPEC to lower oil prices and called for the world to cut interest rates.
The four-session losing streak was broken in the final trading session of the week. In that session, oil prices rose slightly by a maximum of 21 cents, supported by a continued decline in US oil inventories. According to the US Energy Information Administration, in the week ending January 17th, US oil inventories fell by 1 million barrels to their lowest level since March 2022.
According to analysts, forecasts of weak demand in China – the world's leading energy consumer – continue to be a major factor weighing on oil prices.
According to Reuters, the US energy giant Chevron announced it has begun production at the Tengiz oil field, with a total investment of $48 billion. This project is expected to increase global crude oil production by about 1%, adding further pressure on OPEC's efforts to cut production in recent years.
Domestic retail gasoline and diesel prices on January 27, 2025, are applied according to the adjustment made at 3 PM on January 23 by the Joint Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 158 VND/liter, to 20,592 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline decreased by 78 VND/liter, to 21,142 VND/liter.
Diesel fuel 0.05S increased by 412 VND/liter, reaching 20,194 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 404 VND/liter, reaching 20,110 VND/liter; fuel oil 180CST 3.5S increased by 571 VND/kg, reaching 17,752 VND/kg.

During this price adjustment period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.
Thus, from the beginning of 2025 until now, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 4 adjustments, including 0 decreases, 3 increases, and 1 change.
