(Baohatinh.vn) - Taking advantage of their large garden areas, households in Hai Ninh ward (Ha Tinh province) have renovated and planted vegetables, contributing to increased income and creating a cool, green space.

Following the administrative boundary reorganization, Hai Ninh ward covers an area of ​​over 39.37 km², with a population of over 20,000 people. Besides fishing, aquaculture, and tourism and service development, Hai Ninh ward also has a considerable amount of household garden land. This is considered a significant advantage for developing garden-based economy , creating jobs, and increasing income for the people.

With encouragement from the ward authorities, many households have proactively replanned their yards, improved the soil, and chosen to plant short-term vegetable crops suitable to the soil conditions and market demand.

Following the principle of "seasonal produce," the people have rotated crops such as loofah, pumpkin, jute mallow, cabbage, amaranth, and various herbs and spices.

These gardens are invested in and cared for systematically, ensuring a supply of fresh vegetables to meet the consumption needs of local residents and neighboring areas.

From selling vegetables, each household earns an income ranging from 200,000 to 500,000 VND per day, contributing to an improved standard of living.
