- With the motto "for the benefit of the people, implemented by the people's strength and managed by the people," in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and mass organizations in the province have intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage the people to join hands in building peaceful and happy villages and neighborhoods, with many practical models.
One day in early June 2025, upon arriving at Lang Chieng village, Nhan Ly commune, Chi Lang district, we were impressed by the well-built houses, the clean and beautiful inter-village concrete roads, and the lush, neatly trimmed rows of pearl string trees. Ms. Phung Thi Kim Dung, Head of the Village Front Committee, said: "Over the past time, we have mobilized the villagers to work together to protect the environment, plant green hedges, and build flower-lined roads along the residential area to create a green, clean, and beautiful environment… To date, the village has more than 100 meters of flower-lined roads, 100% of households in the village are aware of sorting waste at source; village roads and alleys are regularly cleaned. In addition, the village effectively maintains a self-governing model for security and order, and the villagers are united in developing the economy and improving their lives. Currently, the average income of the villagers is over 40 million VND per person per year."
Not only in Chieng Village, but in recent times, models for building united, peaceful, prosperous, and happy residential areas have been actively implemented in residential areas throughout the province. According to statistics from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, there are currently more than 2,000 self-governing models in the fields of economy, society, security and order, and environmental protection in residential areas.
Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, said: Building united, prosperous, and happy residential areas is a new content included in the action program of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels for the 2024-2029 term. To effectively implement this work, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have developed plans and coordinated with member organizations to disseminate information to people in residential areas to join hands in economic development, actively participate in crime prevention and control, ensure security and order, protect the environment, eliminate outdated customs, and practice a civilized lifestyle...
In addition, mass organizations also maintain movements and establish models in many areas at the residential area level, such as: the Women's Union with the movement "Building families with 5 no's, 3 clean's, and 3 safe's"; the Farmers' Association with the movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, helping each other to get rich and sustainably reduce poverty"...
In 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations at all levels in the province mobilized the people to donate over 76,000 m² of land and contribute labor to the concrete paving of rural roads with a total length of nearly 23 km; residential areas successfully mediated 1,525 out of 1,912 conflicts, achieving a rate of 80%. From the beginning of 2025 to the present, people in the area have donated more than 112,000 m² of land for the construction of new rural and civilized urban projects; contributed labor to build over 10,000 m of roads; planted more than 40,000 trees of various types in residential areas; and in addition, residential areas have successfully mediated 706 out of 844 conflicts and disputes, achieving a rate of 83.64%...
Mr. Hoang Van Ngon, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, said: Farmers' associations at all levels in the province have intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage members to participate in many practical activities to contribute to building increasingly united and developed residential areas. Specifically, from the beginning of 2025 to the present, residential areas have established 23 new models of farmers participating in environmental protection, maintained the effective operation of 154 farmers' clubs focusing on legal matters; member households have contributed over 1.3 billion VND and more than 9,000 man-days of labor to build new rural areas...
With the solidarity of the people, along with the active propaganda and mobilization efforts of the Fatherland Front and other mass organizations in implementing models and tasks, the appearance of residential areas in the province is increasingly changing. Currently, the percentage of cultured families throughout the province is over 89%, an increase of 2.5% compared to 2024, and the percentage of cultured residential areas is 87%...
