The vehicle, a mid-size crossover SUV with a range of more than 500km on a single charge, will be assembled by MotorInvest at a plant in the Lipetsk Region. According to the manufacturer's website, consumers can already place orders with prices starting from nearly 4 million rubles ($45,000).
MotorInvest will start producing electric cars in Russia in September 2022. Its Evolute brand also includes vehicles such as the i-Pro sedan, i-JOY compact crossover and i-VAN minivan. All of the cars are based on Chinese models made by Dongfeng and Sokon.

The Russian company said it expects to sell a total of 7,500 vehicles this year and 12,000 by 2024.
As of 2019, the plant in the Lipetsk region was assembling cars for the Chinese brands Great Wall and Changan. According to information cited by RT, the company is capable of producing more than 100,000 electric cars per year.
Russia's auto industry, which relies heavily on foreign investment and equipment, suffered a crisis last year due to an exodus of foreign manufacturers amid Western sanctions over Ukraine.
However, Chinese brands have filled the void left by Western automakers, with production recently starting at a plant in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad that previously assembled German BMWs and South Korean Hyundais and Kias.
Another Russian car brand, the iconic Moskvich, also builds a small electric crossover SUV with a range of 410km at a former Renault factory in Moscow.
