The vehicle, a mid-size crossover SUV with a range of over 500km on a single charge, will be assembled by MotorInvest at a factory in the Lipetsk Region. According to the manufacturer's website, consumers can already place orders with a starting price of nearly 4 million rubles ($45,000).
MotorInvest began producing electric vehicles in Russia in September 2022. The company's Evolute brand also includes models such as the i-Pro sedan, i-JOY compact crossover, and i-VAN minivan. All of these vehicles are based on Chinese models manufactured by Dongfeng and Sokon.

The Russian company said it expects to sell a total of 7,500 vehicles this year and 12,000 by 2024.
As of 2019, the factory in the Lipetsk region was assembling cars for the Chinese brands Great Wall and Changan. According to information cited by RT, the company has the capacity to produce more than 100,000 electric cars per year.
The Russian automotive industry, which relies heavily on foreign investment and equipment, suffered a crisis last year due to the exodus of foreign manufacturers amid Western sanctions related to Ukraine.
However, Chinese brands have filled the void left by Western automakers. Production has recently been rolled out at a plant in the Russian suburb of Kaliningrad, which previously assembled BMW (Germany), Hyundai and Kia (South Korea) vehicles.
Another Russian car brand, the iconic Moskvich, also produces a small electric crossover SUV with a range of 410km at a former Renault factory in Moscow.
