Xiaomi 14 Ultra launches with superior camera power.

According to GSMArena , the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has improved design. It offers three back panel styles, with a faux leather option available in black and white, weighing 224.4 grams (3 grams lighter than the Xiaomi 13 Ultra). The blue model features a Dragon Crystal back and weighs 229.5 grams. Finally, the special Titanium version weighs 229.6 grams and uses a Grade 5 titanium frame material, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro.

Color options for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra

The rear camera setup is the highlight of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The company retains the 50MP quad-camera formula with a 0.5x + 1x + 3.2x + 5x zoom setup and almost all the hardware from its predecessor. The main sensor is still a 1-inch type, but it's the latest Sony LYT-900 with a nicer design and faster read speeds. It still uses a 23mm dual-aperture lens, but with an f/1.63-f/4.0 range, allowing for up to 136% better light capture than on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The main camera can shoot Ultra RAW images using all algorithms and save them as DNG files with full image data.

The 3.2x optical zoom (f/1.8) and 5x periscope zoom (f/2.5) cameras share the same 1/2.5-inch Sony IMX858 sensor as the ultrawide camera (f/1.8). The Xiaomi 14 Ultra can perform 30x Ultra Zoom, supported by AI, which Xiaomi claims is superior to its competitors based on what was demonstrated at the launch event. Xiaomi has named the Leica camera lens Summilux.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra offers similar video recording specifications to the Galaxy S24, including 4K at both 60 fps and 120 fps (main camera only), as well as 8K video.

The phone boasts a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz, supporting Dolby Vision and HDR10+, but offers better brightness at 3000 nits compared to 2600 nits on its predecessor.

Xiaomi calls the glass layer on top of the screen Shield Glass and claims it offers 10 times greater drop resistance. The screen corners are slightly curved towards all edges, which Xiaomi calls All Around Liquid Display.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of internal storage. It boasts improved cooling thanks to a vapor chamber that's three times larger. The device runs HyperOS based on Android 14. A larger 5,300 mAh battery offers wired charging up to 90W and wireless charging up to 80W. The battery is protected by G1 and P2 boost-up battery chips.

This particular variant has a frame made of titanium.

All versions of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra feature the T1 signal booster chip, which optimizes cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Special Edition also supports two-way satellite communication.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes in blue, black, and white colors with three configurations: 12/256 GB priced at 830 EUR, 16/512 GB priced at 900 EUR, and 16 GB/1 TB priced at 1,000 EUR. The Titanium variant is sold for 1,130 EUR.
