Regarding the report that students were notified by the school to "stop training" right before the new school year 2024-2025 because parents had opinions about the training program, which is causing a stir in public opinion, on the morning of August 16, speaking with Tien Phong newspaper reporters, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that they had received the information.
According to the representative, regarding this matter, the Department has requested the Principal of Ngo Quyen High School - Dong Anh to seriously implement a number of related contents.
The school is responsible for arranging and assigning students to classes in accordance with regulations. The arrangement and re-arrangement of students to classes is only carried out with the consent of all students, parents of students in the class and with the agreement of all teachers in the school's pedagogical council.
The Department also requires schools to strictly implement regulations of the Education sector, ensuring the rights and legitimate aspirations of the school's students.
At the same time, the Department requested the school to report the implementation results to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (through the Secondary Education Department and the Department Inspectorate) before August 16.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training requires Ngo Quyen - Dong Anh High School to strictly publicize information about the school in accordance with the provisions of Circular 09/2024/TT-BGDDT dated June 3, 2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating publicity in the activities of educational institutions in the national education system.
Public information as prescribed includes: General information about educational institutions; financial revenue and expenditure; conditions to ensure the quality of general education activities; plans and results of general education activities.

Previously, public opinion was stirred up by the fact that a 12th grade student of Ngo Quyen High School - Dong Anh received a decision to stop training from the school on the grounds that it did not meet the training needs as requested by the student's parents. The time of stopping training is from August 10.
The incident was reported by the female student's father. On August 7, he was authorized by most of the parents in the class to work with the school principal about organizing a high-quality class because previously the school only gave a general response.
During the meeting, parents only asked more specifically about tuition increases and details of how classes are organized. However, the principal repeatedly emphasized that if any parent felt the environment was not suitable, they should transfer their child to another school.
Two days later (August 10), he received a decision from his daughter's homeroom teacher to stop training because the school did not have the conditions to meet the training needs requested by the parents.
It is known that the girl’s family has withdrawn the application to transfer their daughter to another private school. The parents believe that the school’s actions are anti-educational and affect the daughter’s psychology and honor.
