Following the directives of the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training and the Bao Thang District People's Committee regarding the organization of Tet for the Poor during the Lunar New Year. On the afternoon of February 3rd, 2021, Bao Thang No. 1 High School organized a Tet gift -giving ceremony for 90 students in the school who are from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Members of the school's Board of Directors came to present gifts to the students. Together with the homeroom teachers , the teachers and parents praised the students' efforts and achievements in their studies over the past period, and encouraged them to overcome all difficulties and strive for academic excellence. They also wished the families good health, happiness, and the support of the students to overcome their circumstances and excel in their studies.
It can be said that the spirit of " helping those in need " is one of the noblest gestures of the staff, teachers, and employees of Bao Thang No. 1 High School. Over the years, every Lunar New Year, each staff member and teacher of the school has given meaningful gifts to poor students, students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and ethnic minority students, so that they can have a warmer, more complete, and more meaningful New Year celebration. The school has donated 90 gift packages, each worth 200,000 VND, to 90 ethnic minority, orphaned, poor, and exceptionally disadvantaged students. The school contributed 35 gift packages, the Parents' Association contributed 35, and Thien Truc Pagoda contributed 20. Despite the complex situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, to share and help the children have a warm and happy Tet holiday, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the school's Board of Directors , the Trade Union, the Youth Union, along with the staff, teachers, and the Parents' Association, organized visits to the families of students with particularly difficult circumstances to offer Tet greetings and gifts. Although these gifts may not have great material value, they carry immense spiritual value – the heartfelt love and affection of the teachers for their beloved students. Hopefully, with the boundless love and care of the teachers and staff of the school, they will further illuminate the dreams of the disadvantaged students in the school, helping them to soar high and far, joining in a warm and peaceful spring season.
Perhaps with each passing spring, the teachers' hair will turn gray, but the colors of spring will continue to brighten the dreams of the students, and tomorrow, they will work together to build their homeland of Bao Thang, making it not only more prosperous in material life but also richer in spiritual values, just as the best things that the staff, teachers, and employees of High School No. 1 have given to them.
