Today, May 31, the High People's Court in Hanoi rejected all appeals and sentenced Le Ngoc Ninh (SN 5, residing in Vong Xuyen commune, Phuc Tho district, Hanoi city) to life imprisonment, Nguyen Van Son (SN 1969, living in Phuc Tho district) was sentenced to death for murder.

According to the case file, due to acquaintances, on the afternoon of October 5, 10, Mr. Ng.D.T. (SN 2021, resident in Phuc Tho district, self-employed) invited Mr. Kieu Duy Chinh (SN 1965, judge of the People's Court of Phuc Tho district); Luu Van Kien (officer of the People's Procuracy of Phuc Tho district); Nguyen Van Truong (ie School "rock", residing in Ba Vi district, Hanoi city); and some others held a party in the kitchen at the headquarters of the People's Procuracy (People's Procuracy) of Phuc Tho district (address in Phuc Tho town).
Due to a previous appointment, Mr. Nguyen Duc Truong (SN 1977, Deputy Director of the People's Procuracy of Phuc Tho district) called Le Ngoc Ninh to come to the party. Then, around 19:30 on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Duc Truong and Mr. Kieu Duy Chinh applied for leave first.
During the festival, Mr. T offered Ninh a cup of wine, so Mr. Kien poured wine for Mr. T.. Seeing that the wine was lighter in color, he suspected that Mr. Kien gave Mr. T. water to drink, so Ninh cursed at the People's Procuracy and the People's Procuratorate. took his cup of wine and threw it at this man's face.
Seeing that Ninh had a hooligan attitude, Truong punched Ninh in the face and was dissuaded by everyone, then everyone dispersed and went home. After that, Ninh drove his car to leave, but was still angry about being beaten, so he turned around and called Mr. T to come out to talk. Here, the 51-year-old defendant asked Mr. T. to call Mr. Truong to "kick" to apologize.
When Mr. T refused, Ninh called his adopted son, Nguyen Van Son, and said: "Dad is fighting, I let my juniors come down". Then, Son took a knife to call a taxi to the People's Procuracy of Phuc Tho district.
When about 40 meters from the gate of the People's Procuracy of Phuc Tho district, Son went down and walked to where Mr. T and Ninh were sitting. Seeing Son coming, Ninh blinked his eyes and pointed his finger at Mr. T.. Son understood that he meant to hit Mr. T. So the defendant used his foot to kick the victim's face. Then, Son used his feet to repeatedly kick and kick Mr. T.'s head until the victim lost consciousness. Discovering the incident, Mr. Ngo Van Chien (SN 1969, Mr. T's friend, drinking with - PV) asked Ninh and Son to take Mr. T. to the hospital, so they both took the victim to the emergency room at the General Hospital. Son Tay town (Hanoi). Due to his injuries, on 7-10-2021, Mr. T. died at his home.
At the trial, defendant Ninh initially appealed, but later admitted the crime and asked to reduce the punishment. Son at the trial confessed sincerely, apologized to the victim's family, hoping for forgiveness.
However, the appellate trial panel determined that the acts of the two defendants were thugs, in which Ninh played the initiating role, while Son was the one who directly beat Mr. T. The sentence of the two defendants was appropriate, showing the strictness of the law, so the appeal of the defendants is not accepted.
