After a decade of establishment and operation in Vietnam, BIDV MetLife has left many outstanding marks on the insurance market.

Helping over 70,000 customers create effective health and financial protection plans.

From its inception, BIDV MetLife has placed the philosophy of "customer-centricity" as its guiding principle in all its operations. This is clearly demonstrated in its product strategy, service processes, and technological innovations aimed at serving customers in the best possible way.

Having operated in the Vietnamese market for 10 years, BIDV MetLife Life Insurance has consistently conducted market research and surveys to design products that perfectly suit the needs of Vietnamese people. One example is "Gift of Happiness" – a universal life insurance product that integrates protection against five common critical illnesses: cancer, stroke, myocardial infarction, liver failure, and kidney failure. "Gift of Health," upon its launch, attracted significant customer interest as it was a pioneering product in the market, protecting customers against Type 2 diabetes and early-stage cancer with payouts up to 500 million VND.

With its superior products, BIDV MetLife has managed and guided over 70,000 customers nationwide, helping them develop effective health protection and financial accumulation plans. As a result, BIDV MetLife has been selected as an outstanding life insurance company by Enterprise Asia for four consecutive years.

Aiming to enhance the customer experience, BIDV MetLife always focuses on optimizing services and streamlining work processes. As a result, the signing of contracts and payment of insurance benefits to customers are carried out more quickly.

Notable examples include the "Go Green" electronic insurance contract project, which offers customers a faster, simpler online experience while minimizing environmental impact; Service Happy, which provides new technology solutions for the sales teams of nearly 1,000 BIDV and BIDV MetLife transaction points nationwide; and the MetCare customer portal, which allows customers to manage their insurance contracts with just a few simple steps.

Nearly 500 billion VND was paid out to support and share the financial burden with customers.

According to statistics, over the past 10 years, BIDV MetLife has paid out nearly 500 billion VND for claims and insurance maturity benefits. In 2023, BIDV MetLife paid out benefits to nearly 23,000 cases, totaling over 120 billion VND. Regarding hospital and surgical expense support benefits, BIDV MetLife successfully paid out benefits to over 22,000 cases, amounting to over 40 billion VND, and over 3.1 billion VND was paid out for late-stage cancer and critical illness benefits.

In the first three months of 2024 alone, BIDV MetLife paid out nearly 28 billion VND in benefits to 4,451 customers. Of this amount, over 13.721 billion VND was paid to 64 customers who purchased the "Happy Gift" product, and over 3.693 billion VND was paid to 100 customers who purchased the "Health Gift" product…

10 years of dedicated contribution to the community

In addition to its business activities, BIDV MetLife is also a pioneer in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. In 2023, for the eighth consecutive year, BIDV MetLife was awarded the AmCham CSR Awards by the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, recognizing its outstanding corporate social responsibility practices.

One of the typical CSR activities is the BIDVRun - Warm Tet for the Poor in the Year of the Dragon 2024, a program in which BIDV MetLife partnered with BIDV. The program donated nearly 300,000 Tet gifts to disadvantaged people and soldiers in border and island areas; planted over 330,000 new trees in various localities; built 13 community cultural centers to protect against floods in the central provinces; and provided over 14,000 freshwater tanks to help poor people in the Mekong Delta have enough freshwater during the dry season.

In 2024, BIDV MetLife also implemented the "Giving Love, Supporting Education" program for thousands of students in disadvantaged schools. As of May 2024, BIDV MetLife had donated many practical school supplies such as desktop computers, learning materials, desks and chairs to 10 schools in Nam Dinh, Phu Tho, and Hung Yen provinces. In the future, BIDV MetLife is committed to continuing its support for other schools across the country.
