DTO - On the morning of May 13, in Cao Lanh City, the Dong Thap Province Literature and Arts Association organized a photo contest for current events and traditional arts with the theme “Radiant Lotus”. This is a photo contest for current events and traditional arts of Dong Thap Province sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
The jury took souvenir photos with the winners of the contest.
The contest attracted 628 single and series of photos by 90 professional and non-professional authors in the province. With the theme "Radiant Lotus", the works show the beauty of lotus, culture, and people of Dong Thap: natural beauty, landscape, architecture, historical culture, daily life, customs, cuisine , events, festivals, craft villages... in Dong Thap province. The Organizing Committee and the Jury selected a photo series of 100 works for exhibition, of which 12 works were awarded: 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 6 Consolation Prizes.
The work "Radiating Fragrance" by author Hieu Minh Vu excellently won first prize at the contest.
The first prize went to the work “Toa Huong” by author Hieu Minh Vu (Lap Vo); the two second prizes went to the work “Conquering the Race” by author Nguyen Thi Bich Lieu (Lap Vo) and the work “The Strength of Dong Thap Lotus” by author Tran Thanh Trung.
The work "The Strength of Dong Thap Lotus" by author Tran Thanh Trung won second prize at the contest.
The works: "Specialty from Dong Thap Lotus Tea" by author Nguyen Hoang Trong, "Volunteer Summer" by author Song Ngan (Dong Thap Newspaper) and "Dong Thap Lotus - Potential and Development" by author Nguyen Thi Bich Lieu won Third Prize.
The work " Conquering the Race " by author Nguyen Thi Bich Lieu won second prize at the contest.
Author Hoa Van with the work "New Day", author Tran Thanh Trung with 2 works "Say me", "Oh my god", author Tran Cuong with the work "Tre de mien que", author Hieu Minh Vu with 2 works "Setting the record of 200 dishes from lotus", "The symbol of pink lotus reaching high to welcome tourists" won the Encouragement prize.
The works that won First, Second and Third prizes will be scored as a basis for consideration of admission to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; 100 works will be exhibited to serve the people on the occasion of the 2nd Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2024 (taking place from May 15 to 19, 2024) at Van Mieu Park, Ward 1, Cao Lanh City.
