2 junior high school students design a website to guide tourism in Ha Tinh

Since they were young, Quang and Quan have been taken by their families to visit many scenic spots in Ha Tinh. Visiting Thien Cam beach, Ke Go lake or experiencing historical sites... the two of them soon cherished the desire to introduce the beauty of their homeland to friends near and far. With pride in their homeland, a passion for information technology and a spirit of continuous learning, Quang and Quan embarked on a project to design a tourism website dedicated to Ha Tinh.

Sharing the idea of implementing the project, Tran Nhat Quang - one of the two authors said: “Ha Tinh is a land rich in historical and cultural traditions with many unique and attractive destinations. However, in reality, tourists encounter many difficulties when searching for destination information, looking up services, or scheduling short trips. While most tourists are now used to researching and booking travel services online, Ha Tinh still lacks a modern and friendly online platform. Based on reality, we came up with the idea of creating a smart Ha Tinh travel guide website, integrating travel information, interactive maps, visual images, virtual reality technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to help users easily explore this land of talented people in the most convenient way”.

The website (https://sites.google.com/view/htrekhatinh) built by the two students has an eye-catching, user-friendly interface, optimized for both computers and phones. The website content is divided into specific categories such as: destinations, cuisine , schedules, weather... giving viewers a comprehensive and vivid view of Ha Tinh. In particular, the highlight of the project is the interactive tourist map, integrated with Google Maps and local data, allowing users to easily locate destinations and find directions quickly.

Not just a portal, their products are also a bridge between the land and people of Ha Tinh and domestic and foreign tourists.

Sharing about the project implementation process, Nhat Quang said: “Our purpose in creating the website is not only to enter the contest, to satisfy our passion for technology, but we really hope that this project will be widely used, becoming a useful tool for tourists when coming to Ha Tinh. We hope that the website will contribute to spreading the friendly, hospitable image and beautiful landscape of Ha Tinh to more people.”

The “meeting” of ideas brought two students Nhat Quang and Nhat Quan together to form a research group. From the passion for creativity, applying the knowledge learned into practice, combined with the guidance of the teacher after more than 2 months of forming and implementing the idea, the Ha Tinh tourism guide website project was gradually completed.

Ms. Tran Thi Huong Giang - the project's instructor shared: "The project implementation process still encountered many difficulties, the implementation time was only taken advantage of during extracurricular hours and holidays, while the completion process had to go through many editing steps. However, the students were not discouraged, with Quang's thinking and design ability, Quan's diligence, hard work and meticulousness, the project was gradually completed as expected."

The first prize of the Ha Tinh Youth and Children's Creativity Contest is a worthy reward for Quang and Quan on their journey of self-affirmation. This is not only the result of intelligence, passion for research and creativity, but also a testament to the effectiveness of the integrated education model that iSchool Ha Tinh is aiming for, which is to develop qualities and abilities, encourage creativity and nurture love for the homeland from the smallest things. That is also the beautiful message that the project "Ha Tinh Tourism Guide Website" conveys: love and spread the beauty of the homeland in your own way.
