According to Project Management Board 85, in recent times, the unit has actively urged and directed, so the overall progress of the project has had positive changes, contractors have focused on speeding up the construction progress. However, some contractors are still behind schedule, and there have not been many changes on the construction site.
Specifically, in package 9-XL, the contractor, Truong Son Construction Corporation, has not met the progress requirements and has not mobilized enough equipment for construction. Accordingly, to meet the progress requirements, Truong Son Construction Corporation must carry out the embankment volume of about 5,000 m3 /day, however, the unit is currently only able to carry out the volume of about 2.4 thousand m3 /day. Along with that, Truong Son Construction Corporation is also mobilizing a shortage of 3 road rollers, 1 grader, 2 bulldozers, 2 excavators and a cement-reinforced crushed stone construction line.
Also in package 9-XL, the contractor, Central Construction Group Corporation, has not met the requirements on progress and equipment for construction. Accordingly, with the requirement for roadbed volume of about 5.2 thousand m3 /day, this contractor has only completed about 2.4 thousand m3 /day. Regarding equipment, the contractor is currently lacking 7 vibratory rollers and 1 paver. In addition, this contractor has almost not collected crushed stone while the volume needed for construction is very large, about 100 thousand m3 .
Notably, previously, at component project 1, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, the investor, the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, had a document reviewing and reminding the construction progress of a number of contractors, including Truong Son Construction Corporation (a member of the consortium implementing package No. 18).
Component 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project is 18.2 km long, passing through Long Thanh district. The project started construction in June 2023 and will be basically completed by the end of 2025. According to Project Management Board 85, up to now, the project site has been basically handed over to meet construction needs. Regarding the source of fill soil, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has licensed the exploitation of 3 fill soil mines in Phuoc Binh and Bau Can communes, Long Thanh district and Long Giao town, Cam My district, so the source of fill materials for the project construction has basically met the requirements.
