Domestic gold price skyrocketed by 1.2 million VND, reaching a peak of 126.6 million VND/tael

(GLO)- In the trading session on August 23, the domestic gold market continued to bring surprises when it skyrocketed by 1.2 million VND per tael, bringing the price of gold bars to a record high of 126.6 million VND per tael.

The domestic gold market this month has continuously set new price peaks, the highest ever. Currently, the price of gold bars is being listed by businesses such as SJC, PNJ, DOJI , Bao Tin Minh Chau at 125.6-126.6 million VND/tael, increasing by 1.2 million VND per tael.

Mi Hong Enterprise is currently trading at a high buying price of 126 million VND/tael, only 600,000 VND higher than the selling price. Phu Quy is buying at a low price of 124.6 million VND, maintaining a difference of 2 million VND compared to the selling price.

Gold rings are also on the rise, some businesses have listed selling prices exceeding 121 million VND/tael. Currently, Bao Tin Minh Chau is listing at 118.7-121.7 million VND/tael; Mi Hong is buying at 119.5 million VND and selling at 121 million VND/tael; gold ring prices at PNJ are at 118.5-121.5 million VND/tael; Phu Quy is also trading two-way buying and selling at 118.3-121.3 million VND/tael; SJC is listing at 118.5-121 million VND/tael.

The world gold market also increased sharply in this morning's trading session. According to Kitco, the price received at 4:00 a.m. on August 23, Vietnam time, was at 3,373.39 USD/ounce, an increase of 30.85 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,520 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 107.74 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 18.9 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
