This afternoon, March 31st, the first phase of the 7th Phu Dong Sports Festival of the province in 2024 officially concluded with many impressive successes, most notably the professional organization and management of the competition; high professional quality; ensured security, order, and medical services; and attracting a large number of officials, teachers, parents, and students to cheer on the athletes.

Phase 1 officially started on March 27th and ended on March 31st, with 1,735 athletes competing in 7 sports including: volleyball, table tennis, sepak takraw, football, aerobic gymnastics, badminton, and chess.
According to Mr. Le Ngoc Thanh, a senior specialist in the Secondary Education and Continuing Education Department of the Department of Education and Training, throughout the first phase of the competitions, the Steering Committee of the 7th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival regularly inspected the facilities, equipment, and tools used for the competitions to ensure they were well-equipped for the events; and encouraged the referees to maintain high concentration to successfully complete their assigned tasks...
The first phase was highly praised for its professional organization and management of the competitions. The quality of the seven sports was high, with the most notable being elementary school boys' football, elementary school aerobic gymnastics, elementary, middle, and high school table tennis, and middle and high school badminton, all of which were played enthusiastically.
The athletes competed with all their might, creating many exciting and emotional matches. The police and medical personnel performed their duties well. The team leaders and coaches did an excellent job managing the athletes, ensuring they had good accommodation and meals, and were in good mental and physical condition to participate in the competitions.
Numerous officials, teachers, parents, and students have consistently provided material support and moral encouragement to the athletes... At the end of the first phase, 295 sets of medals were awarded to teams and individuals who achieved high results in 7 competitive sports.

Following the conclusion of the first phase, the Steering Committee of the 7th Phu Dong Sports Festival of the province continues to focus on directing assigned schools and individuals to strengthen coordination, prepare personnel, vehicles, facilities, equipment, and tools for the participating groups in the parade, group performances, and artistic performances... so that the opening ceremony, scheduled for 8:00 AM on April 8, 2024, at the Provincial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, will be successful and impressive.
Following the opening ceremony, competitions in four sports that had not yet been held (athletics, swimming, stick pushing, and karate) and many remaining events of other sports in the second phase continued from April 8-12, with approximately 2,666 athletes participating.
