The award is chaired by the Office of the National Assembly and co-organized by the Central Committee for Propaganda and Training, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and the Vietnam Television Station, with the aim of promoting information and propaganda about the organization and activities of the National Assembly and the People's Council on the mass media, enhancing the understanding of the people and voters across the country towards the People's Council and the National Assembly's policies and actions, thereby creating a favorable view of the National Assembly and the Council. contribute to further improving the quality and efficiency of the operation of the elected bodies.

The National Assembly Chairman said that in order to recognize and honor the important contribution of the country's press, the tireless efforts of professional and non-professional writers to the National Assembly and the People's Council, the Standing Committee of the XNUMXth National Assembly decided to organize the annual National Press Prize for the National Assembly and the People's Council named after Giai Dien Hong.
After more than 4 months of launching, the first Dien Hong Prize has received 3.328 journalistic works from 171 domestic and international press agencies, 7 Offices of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council.
In the spirit of responsibility, fairness and objectivity, Finals Committee selected 67 excellent works to award the first Dien Hong Prize.
National Assembly Chairwoman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the entries for the contest were carefully invested, rich in topics, sharp in content, massive in scale, diverse in style and modern in journalism. In which, many journalistic works with discovery, breakthrough, novelty, creativity and attractiveness were well received and appreciated by readers.
The National Assembly Chairman also expressed his wish that from the glorious tradition, with the support and help of the Party Committees, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front, mass organizations at all levels and people, the country's revolutionary press will develop continuously, continue to contribute more and more important and greater in building the National Assembly, the People's Council to develop comprehensively, worthy of the trust and trust of the people.
The National Assembly Chairman also expressed his hope that the Prize will continue to receive great consensus and support, opening the horizon of discoveries, discoveries and creations at a new level of the press system, and writers at home and abroad writing about the National Assembly of Vietnam and the People's Councils at all levels.
At the ceremony, the Prize Organizing Committee awarded 5 A prizes, 13 B prizes, 16 C prizes, 31 Consolation prizes and 2 prizes outside the structure for typical authors and groups of authors.
The Organizing Committee also awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Office of the National Assembly to 20 teams with outstanding achievements and important contributions to the success of the Prize, including the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center.
On this occasion, Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Head of the Prize Steering Committee launched the second Dien Hong Award - in 2024.
It is expected that the second Dien Hong Award ceremony will take place in early January 1, on the 2024th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 78, 6 - January 1, 1946).
