1. Vam Ho Bird Sanctuary

Vam Ho Bird Sanctuary is located in the communes of My Hoa and Tan Xuan, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province. Here, you'll have the opportunity to admire 84 different bird species. The area is also home to many types of wild vegetation due to its mangrove soil. At the top are nipa palms and mangroves, providing ideal shelter for birds. 4. Con Phung Island

Voted as a typical tourist destination in the Mekong Delta, Con Phung is designed with an open architectural style that blends seamlessly with nature. Con Phung is likened to a green oasis floating on the Tien River, where visitors can explore the rustic garden life of the local people.

Here, on July 1st each year, a traditional festival is held to commemorate Nguyen Dinh Chieu. The people of Ben Tre are even more proud that the mausoleum complex received the Certificate of Ranking as a Special National Historical Site this year.

During the festival season, you can participate in many fun activities such as dressing up as Luc Van Tien and Kieu Nguyet Nga, competitions for preparing ancestral commemorative meals and sticky rice dishes for festivals, chess competitions, stick pushing, tug-of-war, sack racing, etc.

6. Dong Khoi Guerrilla Village

The Dong Khoi Guerrilla Village is located in Dinh Thuy commune, Mo Cay district, Ben Tre province, about 15km from the center of Ben Tre. This village still preserves the achievements of the first uprising of our people in the Dong Khoi movement in 1960. At the historical site, you can admire the artifacts remaining from the two wars of resistance against France and the United States.

Come to the Dong Khoi Guerrilla Village, one of the first cradles of the revolutionary movement in Southern Vietnam. Located near hotels in Mo Cay district, it's perfect for spending a few days exploring and visiting the Dong Khoi Guerrilla Village. You'll have the opportunity to better understand the resilient and indomitable revolutionary spirit of the people of Ben Tre during the years of the national war.

7. Tuyen Linh Pagoda

For those who love exploring the history of their country, Tuyen Linh Pagoda is a suitable destination because you can not only learn about Buddhism but also gain more knowledge about history. It features statues of Shakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Medicine Buddha, and Maitreya Bodhisattvas… A noteworthy feature is the pagoda's bronze statue of the Guardian Deity, approximately 0.7 meters tall.

Tuyen Linh Pagoda was also where President Ho Chi Minh's father, Nguyen Sinh Sac, stayed from 1927 to 1929 to run a school and provide medical care to the local people. It also served as a hiding place for our revolutionary cadres, and was therefore frequently bombed and destroyed by the enemy.

8. Roman Catholic Church

When talking about Ben Tre, people will mention names like Con Quy, Con Phung, Cho Lach… but few mention the Roman Catholic Church. However, this is also a place well worth your time to visit and explore.
