According to Gaming Bolt , October of this year saw the release of a number of blockbuster games in the gaming industry, one of which was Alan Wake 2 from Remedy Entertainment.
The game will launch on October 27th (after a delay to avoid direct competition with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 ). This title promises fans over 20 hours of gameplay, and will also include two expansions after launch.
Alan Wake 2 will have a free expansion.
Not stopping there, Remedy's creative director Sam Lake stated that the survival horror game will receive additional free expansions. At EGX Theatre, Lake said: "We've talked about interesting things, with music and action. We haven't gone into detail about any DLC (expansion packs) yet. To be sure, we've currently named the paid DLC packs Night Springs and Lake House."
"But in addition, we also have free DLC packs coming soon. These are also quite important, and I hope we'll delve into more details once the game is released. But all of them will be free for anyone who buys the game."
It remains to be seen what content these free DLC packs will include, but it will likely be similar to Remedy's supernatural third-person shooter, Control .
Alan Wake 2 will launch next week for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC (via the Epic Games Store). It's a purely digital release, priced at $60 on consoles and $50 on PC.
