Heartwarming program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen"

The "Coast Guard Accompanying Fishermen" program is an effective model of public relations work, bearing the unique identity of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

The "Coast Guard Accompanying Fishermen" program was recently organized by Squadron 102 under the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 at Tan Thuan fishing port, Ngu Thuy Bac commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.

The program, held on April 11th, is part of a coordinated propaganda plan between the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 and the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee. It includes many practical activities with significant political and social implications, contributing to strengthening public support and building a strong political foundation in this strategic coastal area.

Officers and soldiers of Squadron 102 disseminated legal information to fishermen in Le Thuy district as part of the "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" program.

As part of the program, Squadron 102 distributed leaflets and legal information materials on preventing illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard; fishermen's handbooks; and other legal publications related to sovereignty , security, and safety of the sea and islands.

On this occasion, Squadron 102 presented 100 national flags, dozens of life jackets, and 50 gift packages (1 million VND each) to disadvantaged fishing households. The delegation from Squadron 102 also visited and presented gifts to families receiving preferential treatment in Ngu Thuy Bac commune, demonstrating the affection, responsibility, and the principle of "remembering the source when drinking water" of the officers and soldiers of Squadron 102.

The "Coast Guard Accompanying Fishermen" program is an effective model of public relations work, bearing the unique identity of the Vietnam Coast Guard. In the coming time, Squadron 102 will continue to closely coordinate with coastal localities to propagate and mobilize the people to strictly abide by the law, and to cooperate with functional forces to firmly protect the sovereignty, security, and safety in the sacred seas and islands of the Fatherland.
