The first relief shipment from the people of Phuc Khanh commune (Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province), including Lang Nu village, is preparing to depart, carrying essential supplies to the flood-stricken area of Le Thuy (Quang Binh province).
On the afternoon of October 30th, in an interview with VietNamNet reporters, Ms. Cong Thi Huong, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Phuc Khanh commune (Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province), said that upon learning of the flooding in Le Thuy district ( Quang Binh province ), the local authorities and the people of Phuc Khanh commune in general, and the people of Nu village in particular, joined hands to contribute and donate essential goods to send to the flood victims.

"The first truck is ready and is expected to depart this weekend to transport essential supplies such as rice, instant noodles, water, etc., to help flood victims in Le Thuy district. Subsequent trucks will continue to set off once enough essential supplies have been collected," Ms. Huong said.
Previously, due to the impact of typhoon No. 3, Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune) was swept away by flash floods, causing heavy losses of life and property. People nationwide, including those in Quang Binh, joined hands to support and help Lang Nu overcome the difficulties and losses as soon as possible.
