Representatives from Amazon Global Selling Vietnam offered suggestions based on three core pillars: customer-centricity, product innovation, and brand development. This "orienting triangle" guides businesses in grasping international customer trends, developing innovative product features such as sustainability and multi-functionality, and building a strong brand identity.
Amazon also provides support with specialized tools such as Product Opportunity Explorer for product opportunity research, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) for logistics, and A+ Content and Brand Registry for brand building.
The conference offered practical solutions to support Vietnamese businesses in developing "Viet-Selection," highlighting Vietnam's unique strengths. These activities included industry-specific discussion sessions, the launch of a product selection guide, and in-depth training programs.
Among the potential Viet-Selection categories that Amazon will promote, notable examples include the Vietnamese Wood and Furniture industry, leveraging its strengths in wood craftsmanship; the Vietnamese Food industry, showcasing distinctive flavors and abundant agricultural advantages; and the Vietnamese Garment industry, building on its long-standing experience in garment manufacturing.
At the event, Larry Hu, Director of Amazon Global Selling for Southeast Asia, emphasized: “Amazon Global Selling is committed to supporting Vietnamese businesses in their transformation from manufacturers to owners of internationally renowned brands, opening up new opportunities for businesses ready to bring their products to the global market.”
The topics presented at the conference focused on opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to transform and develop beyond their traditional manufacturing strengths. Although Vietnam's manufacturing sector is showing many positive signs – for example, wood exports are projected to increase by 11.5% in early 2025 – industry leaders acknowledge that businesses still face numerous challenges, from rising international shipping costs to global competition and increasingly stringent environmental and quality standards.
