NDO – The Trang An scenic area ( Ninh Binh ) in August possesses a beauty quite different from the bustling scenes usually seen during the spring festival season. As autumn approaches, boat trips on the Sao Khe and Ngo Dong rivers will transport visitors to a serene, peaceful, and poetic landscape.

Trang An Ecotourism Area is located about 100km from Hanoi, part of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also one of the top destinations for both domestic and international tourists; almost everyone visiting northern Vietnam includes a visit to this place in their itinerary.

Trang An is filled with refreshing green hues during the changing seasons. Although the peak tourist season has passed, the area still welcomes hundreds of visitors every weekend.

Each boat trip lasts 2-3 hours, taking visitors to explore the deep caves of Trang An and then strolling around the majestic limestone islands with their spectacular shapes.

Drifting along the emerald-green waters, you can clearly see the lush algae at the bottom of the lake and sometimes even schools of small fish.

The long, densely packed tendrils of foxtail seaweed, some reaching a meter in length, sway gently as the oars stir, creating a striking visual effect.

The fragrant purple water lilies bloom along the riverbank.

The crape myrtle blossoms – another sign of autumn – fall and cover the river's surface, glistening in the sunlight.

With its blue sky, white clouds, and vibrant purple water lilies blooming around Thuy Dinh, a visit to Trang An feels like stepping into a celestial paradise.
