"Hero" has a familiar motif: a protagonist with an unfortunate fate who chooses to do wrong to escape adversity. But the novelty of the story lies in the way the character is placed in various situations and, more importantly, in how the protagonist resolves the issues when the truth is revealed.
Before committing the fraud, Hung had tried every means to make money, but all his attempts failed. Therefore, it's understandable that some people sympathize and forgive him when they learn that Hung transformed himself into a hero simply to save his daughter's life. When the truth was revealed, Hung didn't deny responsibility; he honestly admitted his गलती and apologized to everyone… The segment where Hung livestreamed, pouring out his heart, created a debate about the boundaries of conscience and responsibility, guilt and trust, forgiveness and resentment…
The film has a humane ending, offering a way out for everyone involved, leaving viewers warmed by human kindness and the fairness of reason and emotion. The film also conveys a meaningful message: don't lose faith in the good and virtuous things in life because of one person's wrongdoing.
A well-crafted script, meaningful content, and convincing acting are what make "Hero" so valuable. This is perhaps the role in which Thai Hoa cried the most among all the films he has acted in, but those tears and the inner conflict between what should and shouldn't be done were portrayed perfectly by him.
In particular, the final scene of the film contributes to spreading a beautiful image of the Vietnamese people: mutual support and helping each other in times of hardship and difficulty, because that is the right thing to do.
