Applause erupted after each performance. In the audience's eyes was a mixture of excitement and emotion as art truly touched the hearts of those in this remote island region.
Participating in Working Group No. 10 in 2026, the delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Dance, led by lecturer Ta Vu Thu, consists primarily of very young students aged 17 to 21. Each performance brought fresh, genuine emotions, spreading optimism and a love for life, creating a sense of closeness, appeal, and energy from the students. Without a grand stage or dazzling lights, just simple setups, the exchange between Task Force No. 10 and officers and soldiers on the islands took place in a lively and vibrant atmosphere under the warm sunshine of the islands. Despite the simple stage setting, each performance was meticulously prepared, imbued with the spirit of national culture and patriotism. The trainees appeared in traditional costumes of various ethnic groups, gracefully performing dances that created an artistic space rich in Vietnamese identity.
The program is not merely a performance for entertainment, but also a bridge connecting emotions between the mainland and the remote islands. Each performance breathes life, youthful yet profound, intimate yet highly creative. This is the result of a process of renewing artistic thinking, catering to the tastes of young audiences, especially the soldiers who are guarding the sacred skies and seas of the Fatherland day and night. There is no longer a boundary between performer and audience, but rather a harmonious connection in every dance and song. Some audience members clapped along to the rhythm, others sang along, and some even went on stage to join in with the artists.
Numerous officers and soldiers on the islands joined in the exchange program and cultural performances.
After each performance, many soldiers boldly presented the female trainees with simple gifts, sometimes just a bouquet of hastily picked paper flowers. These small gifts were filled with great affection. The trainees couldn't hide their surprise and delight, cherishing each gift as a precious memento. The cultural exchange created an atmosphere of excitement and fostered a sense of connection between the delegation members and the officers, soldiers, and people on the islands of Truong Sa. It was a profound and unforgettable memory for the very young students of the Vietnam Dance Academy.
