The National Anthem Resounds at the Forefront of the Truong Sa Islands

In the middle of the ocean, the flag-raising ceremony on Truong Sa Island took place in a solemn, moving, and sacred atmosphere. The national anthem resounded amidst the sea and sky of the homeland, blending with the sound of the waves, arousing national pride and love for the islands in the hearts of everyone honored to be present at that time.

Recently, Delegation No. 12, led by Rear Admiral Le Ba Quan, Deputy Commander of the Navy, made a voyage to visit officers, soldiers, and people on the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1 platform system. Nearly 200 delegates from various localities, units, and central agencies participated in the trip, including representatives from Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, and An Giang provinces; representatives from Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Finance , the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund; artists, and journalists.

The delegation visited various island locations, participating in numerous activities that fostered close ties between the military and civilians on the mainland and the remote islands. In particular, the delegation members had the opportunity to attend a special flag-raising ceremony in Truong Sa.

Representatives from the provinces of Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, and An Giang were deeply moved when attending the flag-raising ceremony in Truong Sa.

As the red flag with a yellow star fluttered against the blue sky of the East Sea, all delegates solemnly turned towards the national flag. The singing of the national anthem echoed across the vast expanse of water, moving many to tears. This was not only a sacred ceremony but also an affirmation of Vietnam's inviolable sovereignty over its maritime territories and islands.

For many delegates visiting Truong Sa for the first time, the flag-raising ceremony was a particularly unforgettable honor. Amidst the harsh conditions of the open sea, the image of officers and soldiers tirelessly defending the islands day and night helped each person better understand the value of peace and independence today.

The national anthem resounds as a powerful affirmation of the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland over its maritime territories and islands.

Comrade Ly Ngoc Dinh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, shared: “When the national anthem resounded amidst the vast sea and sky of Truong Sa , I felt even more deeply the value of the country's independence, sovereignty, and peace. The image of the officers and soldiers here made me appreciate even more their silent sacrifices for the homeland's islands and seas.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, a teacher at Chu Van An Secondary School in Tay Ho District, Hanoi, emotionally said: “This is the first time I’ve attended a flag-raising ceremony in Truong Sa, and I couldn’t hold back my tears. Seeing the soldiers protecting the sovereignty of our homeland day and night, I understand even more the value of a peaceful life on the mainland.”

The soldiers of Truong Sa firmly hold their weapons to protect the sovereignty of our maritime territory.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, the delegates were deeply moved by the unwavering spirit of the soldiers and people of Truong Sa. Despite the many difficulties in living conditions, the officers and soldiers here always maintain an optimistic and united spirit, determined to successfully fulfill their nhiệm vụ of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.

In the heroic atmosphere of the front lines, the parade of units on Truong Sa Island demonstrated the spirit, will, and determination to firmly protect the sacred maritime sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Rear Admiral Le Ba Quan emphasized that the flag-raising ceremony on Truong Sa Island is a particularly meaningful activity, contributing to the education of patriotic traditions, raising awareness of maritime sovereignty among delegates and people nationwide; and at the same time strengthening the bond and sharing between the mainland and the military and people in the remote islands.

The strong, synchronized footsteps of the officers and soldiers in the parade after the flag-raising ceremony on Truong Sa Island left a deep impression and a sense of pride in the hearts of the delegates of Working Group No. 12.
