Despite the rapid urban development, Bac Ninh still has many lotus lakes/ponds interspersed with rice fields in rural areas, distributed in the districts of Thuan Thanh, Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Que Vo... In addition, parks or entertainment areas often grow lotus to create landscapes, providing services to attract visitors to take photos and check-in.
If you want to see Thuan Thanh lotus pond and visit But Thap ancient pagoda, from Hanoi , you can travel by bus 204, special bus, or personal vehicle such as car, motorbike, all are convenient. You can arrange a compact schedule in 1 day, or 2 days 1 night, if you want to visit other famous historical and cultural relics of Kinh Bac land.

To avoid the intense heat of summer, you should go see lotus flowers early in the morning or late in the afternoon, and prepare appropriate sun protection equipment.

Standing in front of the vast expanse of pink lotus and green leaves, visitors will feel as if they are in the middle of a classic and perfect countryside painting. Each flower has its own beauty, from the shy lotus buds, the newly bloomed flowers, to the wilted lotus flowers with fallen petals... each has its own beauty.

Tinh De lotus is not a separate species of lotus, but a natural biological mutation of the lotus plant. In places with many lotuses such as West Lake (Hanoi), Nam Dan (Nghe An), Dong Thap ... you can still occasionally see it. However, for dreamers, and especially photographers, seeing Tinh De lotus with your own eyes is still a great joy.

Most lotus ponds this season have caretakers, boat rentals for taking photos or cut flowers to sell to customers in need.
Not far from the lotus pond, But Thap Pagoda is located in But Thap village, Dinh To commune. The pagoda was built in the 14th century, with the Chinese name Ninh Phuc Tu. Over the past 7 centuries, the pagoda has been an important Buddhist center in the region, and is also a famous scenic spot attracting tourists from all over.

Having undergone five restorations, the pagoda still retains its original buildings and architectural details. The spacious grounds are planted with many types of trees providing shade and fragrant flowers, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
The overall architecture of But Thap Pagoda is located on a 150m long axis, facing south, consisting of 9 layers: the gate, bell tower, front hall, incense burner, upper hall, tich thien am, guest house, worshiping house, ancestral house and men's house, forming two main architectural clusters, interspersed with many courtyards and corridors.

In particular, this place preserves four national treasures: the statue of the Thousand-eyed and Thousand-armed Buddha, the statue of the Three Worlds, the incense table, and the Nine-grade Lotus Throne.

The Nine Lotus Tower is an octagonal wooden tower with nine lotus-shaped floors, depicting the life and career of Buddha Shakyamuni through elaborate sculptures. The work has high artistic and historical value, worthy of being one of the treasures of a land rich in cultural traditions.

In addition, But Thap Pagoda also preserves and displays nearly 100 ancient wooden statues and many stone steles with royal contents. Over the years, this place has been an attractive destination for spiritual and cultural tourism for tourists from all over the country, as well as international tourists when coming to Vietnam.

From the sweet beauty of the pink lotus pond to the ancient sacredness of But Thap Pagoda, every step here leaves an unforgettable mark. There, you can find peaceful moments, slow down, feel the value of nature and history, as well as bring back impressive photos.
