Universities announce admission scores, many majors have more than 29 points

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, before 5 p.m. on August 22, universities must announce the first round of admission scores after completing 10 virtual screening rounds nationwide. To date, many universities have announced the 2025 admission scores, reflecting a diverse admission picture.

Foreign Trade University has announced the admission scores for 2025. Programs with over 28 points include: Advanced Foreign Economics 28.5; Advanced i-Hons International Business and Business Data Analytics; Standard International Business (both 28).

Six programs with over 27 points include: Career Orientation Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Standard and High Quality Foreign Economics; High Quality International Business; Digital Marketing; Advanced Finance-Banking. Computer Science has the highest score of 36.4 due to doubling the Math subject (equivalent to more than 9 points/subject). The remaining programs range from 25-27 points.

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) has just announced the admission scores for regular universities in 2025; Medicine has the highest standard score, reaching 27.43 points (group B00). Dentistry has 26.99 points (group B00); Pharmacy has 23.09 points (group A00). The remaining majors have standard scores respectively: Medical testing techniques 21.75; Medical imaging techniques 20.35; Nursing 19 points (same group B00).

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, admitted candidates must confirm their admission online on the common system; overdue admission will be considered as refusal of admission.

At Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the admission scores for 65 training programs ranged from 19 to 29.39 points based on the high school graduation exam results. Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duy Hai, Head of the Admissions and Career Guidance Department, said that by 4 p.m. on August 22, the virtual filtering work of the northern admissions group chaired by the school had been completed, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely handover to schools according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Mr. Vu Duy Hai said that this year there were many new points in admissions, with additional technical and data processing steps compared to 2024.

The benchmark scores for 2025 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology are generally close to the forecast; the lower-ranking majors are stable, while the upper-ranking majors are about 1 point higher. The advanced program Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) has the highest benchmark score of 29.39, followed by Computer Science (IT1) at 29.19. Majors that attract many candidates such as Control Engineering - Automation (28.48), Microelectronics Engineering and Nanotechnology (28.25), Electronics - Telecommunications Engineering (28.07) all have high scores. The lowest program is TROY-BA with 19 points.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a document adjusting the 2025 virtual selection and screening plan, in the context of an increase in the number of registered candidates and the participation of more colleges. This is also the first year that all selection methods are implemented in a single round, without early selection.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, admitted candidates must confirm their admission online on the common system; those who are overdue will be considered as refused admission. After that, candidates will receive a notice and complete the procedures at the school according to specific regulations, otherwise they may also be refused admission. For candidates who are not admitted in the first round, there is still a chance to participate in the supplementary admission process, so it is necessary to follow information from the schools to make timely choices.
