For many newcomers as well as the people of Dong Thap, the peach blossom is a fairly new flower, rarely seen in the past. There are many people who mistakenly believe that umbrella tree, because the flowers, leaves and stems look quite similar to the umbrella - a tree that, when in bloom, is likened to "western cherry blossom" by people.

Impressive to everyone is that this plant is planted in many, in a long line. In Cao Lanh city, peach blossoms have been planted in recent years on streets and residential areas in My Tra commune, Hoa An, ward 3.

Peach tree is native to the forests of Southeast Asia. In Vietnam, this species is distributed in some provinces of the Central Highlands and the Southeast.

According to the People's Committee of Cao Lanh city, the peach blossom tree has a wide canopy, is an easy plant to grow, and the flowers bloom in clusters that look very beautiful. Therefore, the city has deployed planting in some roads and residential areas to create shade and landscape.

Normally, peach blossom has a blooming time from April to June, or later. In the summer days, when the rainy season begins, it is also the time when the peach blossoms are in full bloom.

After the leaves on the tree gradually fall, each branch grows large clusters of pinkish-pink flowers, looking like cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

In the early morning or late afternoon, people often go for a walk, or sit and chat under the cherry blossom trees. The wind swings the blooming bunches of flowers, giving us a feeling of lightheadedness before the charming shimmering beauty of the peach blossoms.
