This year's Youth Month activities were implemented systematically and with a clear focus. Within the school, the "Green House" project continued to be effective, not only contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful school environment but also becoming a foundation for many humanitarian activities.
From collecting recyclable waste and fundraising to supporting disadvantaged students, this model has created a widespread impact, attracting the participation of 100% of the student branches. Sports activities and group activities are organized synchronously, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere and improving the physical and mental well-being of students.
The content commemorating the founding day of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is skillfully integrated with traditional education programs and intellectual playgrounds, thereby fostering revolutionary ideals, strengthening faith, and strengthening the aspiration to contribute in each member. The pioneering spirit of youth is not only manifested within schools but also extended to the community.
Approximately 300 students will participate in environmental cleanup at the Hung Temple historical site; and collaborate with local health stations to establish a medicinal herb garden. These activities not only have social significance but also clearly demonstrate the spirit of medical students – learning goes hand in hand with practice, linking expertise with serving the people.
Implementing the "green house" model, youth union members actively collect recyclable waste to raise funds to support students in difficult circumstances.
Comrade Nguyen Tran Huy Hoang - Secretary of the University's Youth Union - affirmed: "The overarching theme in all of the Youth Union's activities is promoting the leading role of students. We not only organize movements but also create an environment for union members to self-improve, mature, and assert themselves. Through this, we contribute to building a generation of students who are both professionally competent and possess strong political acumen and a sense of responsibility."
The practical implementation during Youth Month clearly demonstrates that the enthusiasm of young people is built upon a solid foundation of activities throughout the academic year. With over 3,000 students, including more than 1,900 full-time students, and over 60% being ethnic minorities, the school's Youth Union activities have comprehensively fulfilled all targets, affirming its leading and guiding role for young people.
Political and ideological education has been implemented seriously and comprehensively, ensuring that 100% of Youth Union officials and members study and understand the Party's resolutions and the State's policies and laws. Political activities linked to major events have been widely organized, contributing to building strong political character among students.
The "Youth Volunteer" movement continues to be a cornerstone, clearly demonstrating the pioneering role of young people. From regular activities like "Green Sunday" and "Voluntary Blood Donation" to large-scale campaigns, all have been implemented effectively. Particularly during the recent Lunar New Year, the Student Union collaborated with the Red Cross to organize the making of traditional rice cakes and distributed 60 gift packages to students in difficult circumstances. All funding came from the "Green House" project fund, a vivid example of transforming small actions into great value, spreading the spirit of mutual support throughout the school. Previously, during the disaster relief effort, the Student Union mobilized nearly 100 million VND and hundreds of union members participated in recovery efforts. These figures not only reflect the scale of the activities but also demonstrate the mobilization capacity and sense of responsibility of the school's youth towards society.
Youth union members actively participate in sports, spreading a vibrant spirit of competition and contributing to making the school's youth movement a shining example in the locality.
A highlight of the Youth Union's activities is the emergence of many outstanding individuals, clearly demonstrating the pioneering and creative role of young people. Nguyen Minh Tuan, a student from the 17A class of the College of Photography, not only achieved excellent academic results but also actively participated in blood donation, served as an MC, and was a talented performer in many programs, earning the title of "Outstanding Student" at the school level. Tuan said: "I always consider Youth Union activities as an environment for comprehensive development. Each time I participate, I learn new skills, understand my responsibilities better, and gain more motivation to strive."
In addition, student Hoang Nhu Nguyet - Pharmacy Class 16A - has effectively fulfilled her role as a Youth Union officer, proactively organizing, coordinating activities, and leading the movement of the branch union. Thanks to the dynamism and responsibility of the Youth Union officers, the branches have maintained good study habits and actively and effectively participated in emulation movements.
The "Youth Innovation" movement and digital transformation continue to yield positive results. With 100% of members using the Vietnam Youth app, many students actively participate in scientific research, contributing to improving the quality of learning and training.
Alongside this, the work of building the Youth Union and participating in Party building has been emphasized, clearly demonstrating the role of the Youth Union in identifying, nurturing, and recommending outstanding members. In the past academic year, 10 outstanding individuals were admitted to the Party; at the same time, many Youth Union members were sent to participate in Party awareness training courses. It is expected that by May 19th, an additional 10-15 outstanding Youth Union members will join the Party ranks.
These results demonstrate that the youth of Phu Tho Medical College are not only enthusiastic in extracurricular activities but also play a core role in the school's operations. From initiatives like the "Green House" to community-oriented activities, all have contributed to shaping a generation of medical students with strong ethics, solid professional skills, and political acumen, ready to contribute in the new era.
