The Standing Committee of the Tan Mai Commune Party Committee worked with the Da Do Hamlet Party Branch to understand the situation and resolve difficulties in Party building work at the grassroots level.
Proactively source resources from the grassroots level.
As a mountainous area facing many difficulties, with an unevenly distributed population and low living standards for some residents, recruiting new Party members in Tan Mai has encountered numerous obstacles. Many young people have left to work elsewhere, and the number of young, educated individuals with a desire to contribute to the local community is limited. In this context, the commune's Party Committee determined that sustainable Party development must begin at the grassroots level, from mass movements and from those who are contributing to the local development on a daily basis.
Therefore, instead of waiting for referrals, Party branches are tasked with proactively reviewing and identifying outstanding individuals in labor, production, social work, and mass movements to monitor and support them. Party development work is closely linked to patriotic emulation movements, campaigns in residential areas, and the socio -economic development tasks of the locality. Mass organizations become the "extended arm" of the Party in identifying and nurturing outstanding individuals.
Comrade Hoang Duc Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Tan Mai Commune Party Committee, said: The Party Committee has determined that the most important aspect of Party member development is creating a quality pool of successors. Therefore, the Commune Party Committee directs the Party branches to closely monitor the grassroots, identify truly outstanding individuals in the movement, nurture and test them, and recommend them to the Party for consideration for membership.
Based on that orientation, socio- political organizations in the area have become important "nursery" centers. The Women's Union actively propagates and mobilizes members to participate in economic development movements and the building of cultured families, thereby introducing many outstanding members for the Party to consider and nurture. The Farmers' Association and the Veterans' Association also focus on identifying exemplary members with prestige in the community to create a source for Party development.
In particular, the Youth Union is affirming its role as the core force in the recruitment of young Party members. Through movements such as "Youth Volunteers," "Creative Youth," environmental protection, new rural development, and support for household economic development, many Youth Union members have clearly matured in both political awareness and sense of responsibility. In just the first six months of this year, 10 outstanding Youth Union members have been admitted to the Party.

Party development work in Tan Mai begins with staying close to the grassroots, being close to the people, understanding the people, and identifying positive elements within the community.
Strengthening the fighting capacity of grassroots Party organizations.
For the Tan Mai Commune Party Committee, Party development work does not stop at fulfilling the membership recruitment target, but aims for a higher goal: building a team of Party members who are truly pioneering, exemplary, capable, and reputable in the community.
After being admitted, each new party member is assigned by the branch to be monitored and assisted by a full party member; creating conditions for them to participate in activities to further hone their political acumen and improve their work capacity. From specific tasks such as mobilizing people to donate land for road construction, building new rural areas, protecting the environment, maintaining security and order, or developing family economies, many young party members have gradually affirmed their pivotal role at the grassroots level.
The Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Tan Mai Commune Party Committee shared: "Party member development is only truly meaningful when new members demonstrate pioneering and exemplary roles in practice. Therefore, the Party Committee always pays attention to the management, education, and training of each newly admitted party member so that they continue to grow and make positive contributions to the locality."
Along with improving the quality of Party members, the Party Committee of the commune focuses on innovating the working methods of grassroots Party organizations. The implementation of the electronic Party Member Handbook and the organization of Party branch meetings on digital platforms have contributed to improving the efficiency of management and administration, while also creating conditions for Party members to access the Party's policies and resolutions more quickly. To date, all 42 Party branches in the commune have conducted their meetings using the electronic Party Member Handbook application.
Simultaneously, inspection and supervision work has been strengthened to promptly rectify shortcomings and deficiencies, and to maintain strict discipline and order within the Party. Party branches maintain regular meetings, improve the quality of thematic discussions, promote democracy, and foster self-criticism and criticism among Party members. Through this, the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations are increasingly consolidated.
Based on initial results, Party development work in Tan Mai is creating a transformation in both quantity and quality. In the first six months of 2026, the commune's Party Committee admitted 12 new members, achieving 70.58% of the annual plan. More importantly, many young Party members, after joining the Party, have become core forces in local movements, contributing to spreading a spirit of responsibility and a desire to contribute within the community.
In the remote, mountainous villages still facing numerous difficulties, the persistent effort to recruit young Party members today is how Tan Mai prepares for the future. Each newly admitted Party member is not only an addition to the force, but also a continuation of the responsibility and aspiration to build a more prosperous homeland.
