Apple releases iOS 18 developer beta 2

Two weeks after Apple released the first beta of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, the company has released the second beta.

At WWDC 2024, Apple introduced the biggest update in history, iOS 18, with the outstanding Apple Intelligence feature. This is a set of AI features deeply integrated into the operating system, including features for refining, editing text, creating images and emojis, improving Siri, and searching.

The iOS 18 update also brings a dedicated password app for logins, passwords, Wiffi passwords, and verification codes, and now has the option to lock and hide the app (no one can open it without secondary Face ID or Touch ID authentication even when the phone is unlocked).

Registered developers can join the beta by: going to Settings- Software Update- Beta Update Preferences- Turn on Developer Beta Settings (Note: an Apple ID associated with a developer account is required to download and install the beta).

Apple is planning to offer a public beta of iOS 18 next July, but iOS 18 is currently only available to registered developers.
