On the morning of December 31st, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province held a conference to inform the public about the results of implementing socio -economic development tasks in 2025; and the main goals, tasks, and solutions for 2026.
Approximately 6,500 new businesses are expected to be established in 2025.
Representatives from the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee stated that in 2025, the province will continue its rapid economic development, with many indicators ranking among the top in the country. Specifically, the GRDP growth rate is projected at 10.27%, ranking 5th nationwide; and the GRDP per capita is estimated at nearly 5,600 USD.
In 2025, industry will continue to be a key sector driving the economy of Bac Ninh province, primarily focusing on the production of electronic products, computers, and optical products.
In particular, Bac Ninh is one of the two localities leading the country in total import and export value (estimated at 182 billion USD), accounting for 20% of the country's total import and export turnover, with a trade surplus of approximately 6 billion USD.

Throughout 2025, the province attracted approximately US$18.6 billion in domestic and foreign direct investment (FDI). In terms of FDI attraction alone, Bac Ninh currently ranks third nationwide . The startup wave continues to grow strongly, especially since the issuance of Resolution No. 68; approximately 6,500 new businesses were established during the year.
This year, Bac Ninh province is implementing many infrastructure projects, with the highlight being the Gia Binh International Airport project, alongside infrastructure projects in healthcare, education , culture, and more.
Pointing out the difficulties and limitations, a representative of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee stated that some businesses are still facing significant pressure in their production and business activities; key manufacturing sectors are being affected by the US policy of increasing import tariffs.
In addition, Typhoon No. 11 and its aftermath caused approximately 1,480 billion VND in agricultural production damage; localized flooding in some central urban areas still occurs during heavy rains.
The operation of the two-tiered local government system in the initial phase still encountered difficulties; science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation have developed but have not contributed proportionally to economic development...
Target average income: 5.93 million VND/month
At the conference, Bac Ninh province announced 30 socio-economic development targets for 2026, including 12 economic targets, 14 social targets, and 4 environmental targets.
Economically, Bac Ninh province aims for a GRDP of over 598,000 billion VND in 2026 (compared to over 522,000 billion VND in 2025); with a growth rate of 12.5-13%.
Bac Ninh province anticipates that by 2026, total state budget revenue will reach 72,350 billion VND and local budget expenditure will be approximately over 57,100 billion VND.
In terms of social development, by 2026, Bac Ninh province aims to have 1.9 million employed workers; an unemployment rate of 2%; a poverty rate of 5%; and the completion of over 18,100 social housing units.

Regarding the main tasks and solutions for 2026, Bac Ninh province has outlined nine groups. Among them, the province will continue to implement the leadership and guidance documents from the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee's plan on socio-economic development tasks, ensuring double-digit economic growth targets.
In addition, Bac Ninh will strive to complete and exceed the state budget revenue forecast for 2026; manage state budget expenditures strictly, economically, and efficiently; strengthen financial discipline and order; and combat waste.
The province has set the task of accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, considering it a key political task, aiming to complete 100% of the planned capital; and speeding up the progress of key projects such as Gia Binh International Airport, connecting roads, Ring Road 4, Ring Road 5, Kenh Vang Bridge, Van Ha Bridge, etc.
