Doctor Hai Le - "the golden hands"

Highly skilled, resilient, and compassionate – these are the qualities many people associate with Dr. Hai Le Med Group, the founder of the aesthetic medical ecosystem. Not only is he a doctor with "golden hands" in the field of aesthetics, but Dr. Hai also conducts numerous free programs to correct hundreds of botched cosmetic surgeries and perform surgeries for congenital facial conditions for the poor. Driven by a desire to nurture and support the underprivileged, he established the "Helping Hands" charity fund to provide assistance and build houses for those in need across the country, especially in his hometown of Quang Tri.

Hai was born in 1970 in Tan Phuc village (now Phuc Duc village), Hien Thanh commune, Vinh Linh district. Like many children growing up in his poor rural area, he experienced a difficult childhood, struggling to make ends meet in order to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. Throughout that journey, Hai always strived, overcame difficulties, and independently researched and learned to achieve success.

“I majored in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, then continued my postgraduate studies at the Military Medical Academy. The turning point that changed my life was when I decided to further specialize in cosmetic surgery and have been working in the field ever since,” Hai recounted.

In 2003, he packed his bags and went to Hanoi to take the postgraduate entrance exam, beginning months of relentless study and learning. One thing that many colleagues and friends admire about Hai is his progressive spirit, even in difficult circumstances. Lacking sufficient funds, he took advantage of his free time to work part-time at hospitals and clinics, and lived frugally to save money for his studies.

In 2008, Hai opened a cosmetic surgery clinic in Hanoi called "Dr. Hai Le Medical Aesthetic Institute." "At that time, the cosmetic surgery industry in Vietnam was still in its infancy, so my decision was considered risky and worrying by many. But for me, the more difficult it was, the more determined I was to overcome the challenges and make it happen," Hai said.

Recognizing that "the profession chose him" and appreciating the positive values ​​of his work, he has always sought opportunities to learn and improve his skills; participating in training and professional development programs in countries with advanced aesthetics industries such as South Korea, Singapore, and Japan. From Dr. Hai Le Medical Aesthetic Institute, he developed Dr. Hai Le Med Group, a chain of reputable and high-quality medical and aesthetic clinics nationwide. Over the years, from a young man from a poor rural area who came to the capital to build his career, Mr. Hai has won many hearts not only with his dedication to his profession but also with his charitable acts for the community, especially for his hometown of Quang Tri.

Mr. Hai shared: “Since I was a child, I dreamed of a day when the next generation wouldn't have to face the hardships and deprivations I experienced. I always promised myself that I would work hard to succeed and return to support and help my fellow villagers because there are still many impoverished people in my hometown.” Proof of this is that Mr. Hai regularly participates in local activities and celebrations; organizes many free health check-ups and consultations for the people of Hien Thanh commune; and awards many meaningful scholarships and gifts to local children and students at Cua Tung High School in Vinh Linh district, where he once studied.

Since 2022, Mr. Hai has established the "Helping Hands" charity fund with the desire to contribute a small part to the community. The fund was created to support those in difficult circumstances and those less fortunate. According to Mr. Hai, the name "Helping Hands" means hands that cherish the vulnerable. Furthermore, it signifies that the fund comes from his own hands and the hard work of his profession, not from any other sources of donations.

Immediately after its establishment, the "Helping Hands" Charity Fund quickly implemented many meaningful programs aimed at those in need in society, such as: awarding scholarships to poor but studious students; providing water filters to disadvantaged schools; supporting people in disaster-stricken areas and remote regions; donating houses to needy families; and sponsoring free corrective eyelid surgery and removal of congenital birthmarks...

In Quang Tri, Mr. Hai and his colleagues have built and donated four houses to families in difficult circumstances. Currently, the fund has built six charitable houses for disadvantaged families nationwide who do not have a home or are living in dilapidated, leaky temporary shelters.

Over the years, Mr. Hai has also regularly received and successfully performed surgeries on botched or failed cosmetic procedures, especially serious and difficult-to-treat cases on the face such as the eyes and nose. Every year, he organizes two free "rescue" programs for botched eyelid surgeries in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. To date, the program has "rescued" hundreds of patients with botched eyelid surgeries or conditions such as pigment disorders, eczema, and congenital hemangiomas who were in difficult circumstances, bringing confidence and happiness to many families.

In addition to his main job, Mr. Hai actively participates in sports activities, social gatherings with the Quang Tri Hometown Association, charitable and community activities, especially those focused on his hometown of Quang Tri; he also contributes financially along with the Young Hometown Association in Hanoi to support disadvantaged individuals in his hometown...

“Although I live and work far from my hometown, perhaps it is the admirable qualities of the people of Quang Tri such as diligence, perseverance, loyalty, and a willingness to endure hardship that have contributed significantly to my success today. In the future, I will perfect the Dr. Hai Le Med Group aesthetic medical ecosystem to help more Vietnamese people benefit from the best and most complete beauty techniques. In particular, I will continue my charitable activities for the community, focusing on those less fortunate; striving to support 17 houses for homeless or temporary families nationwide this year, on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Dr. Hai Le Med Group, as a token of gratitude,” Mr. Hai said.
