Dong Nai will increase counting manpower to complete compensation and hand over the entire Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway construction site in 2023.
The information was given by Dong Nai Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh during a dialogue with nearly 3.000 households whose land had to be cleared in the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, on October 26.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, 54 km long, 4-6 lanes, with a total investment of 17.800 billion VND, was started simultaneously in June. However, most of the 6 km section passes through Dong Nai area. (34 hectares with 289 affected households) has not yet been cleared, while Ba Ria - Vung Tau has handed over nearly 3.400%.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee said the current most difficult difficulty for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project passing through the locality is the lack of space. Although the contractors have prepared manpower and machinery to deploy the project, there is no land for construction.
According to Mr. Linh, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project is very important in connecting regional traffic and socio-economic development of the province as well as the whole country. When the expressway is exploited, it will reduce the load on Highway 51, connecting Long Thanh airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port.
Therefore, to speed up the progress of site clearance, Mr. Linh requested the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to increase human resources, working both Saturday and Sunday to soon complete counting, measuring, and paying compensation to people. people affected by the project.
"By the end of this year, money must be paid to the people so that in early 2024 they can enter resettlement areas and settle down to a new life," Mr. Linh said and directed the establishment of two offices to receive and answer questions. concerns of people related to the project.
Previously, people in Bien Hoa City and Long Thanh district raised 25 opinions related to the issue of compensation prices, cases of building houses on agricultural land, buying and selling paper documents... Many people also hoped to be resettled in the area. I don't want to go far because I have lived for a long time, my life is stable, my children are going to school...
Mr. Nguyen Hong Que, Deputy Director of the Project Management Board for site clearance compensation and resettlement support in Dong Nai province, said that when compensating, the locality will base on regulations to apply land prices in accordance with the method. The motto is to build the best price framework for people.
According to Mr. Que, the specific land price is being investigated, determined by consulting units and submitted to the district and city People's Committees for review and appraisal before approval. During the land price appraisal process, the appraisal council will compare and contrast with projects with similar conditions to ensure the approved land price is appropriate. After the land price is approved, it will be publicly listed for compensation.
