“Data journalism and content strategy excellence”

DTO - Is the topic of the thematic discussion at the "National Press Forum 2024" taking place on the afternoon of March 15. This is one of the activities of the National Press Festival 2024 being held in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Representatives of central and local press agencies and press and media experts attended.

Mr. Kah Whye Lee - representative of the World Association of Newspapers and Publishers presented a paper on " Outstanding press content strategy - world trends and experiences "

At the discussion session, press and media experts from the World Press and Publishing Association, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and the Center for Information Technology Application (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics ) presented papers on: "Outstanding press content strategy - world trends and experiences"; "Outstanding content strategy of Nhan Dan Newspaper and the role of data journalism" . Along with that, delegates also listened to research topics on "Methods of organizing and implementing data journalism in press agencies in Vietnam" and "Application of data science to develop outstanding press content".

Delegates, press and media experts participated in the discussion and shared experiences at the discussion session.

Through topics and discussions, press and media experts affirmed that data journalism has a core position and role in the development of digital journalism in the world and in Vietnam; it is a solution to implement outstanding content strategies, enhancing the competitiveness of press agencies. At the same time, analyze the current situation, introduce effective ways in the field of applying methods, tools, and techniques to analyze useful information from data. From there, each press agency needs to research, propose implementation solutions, aiming at the goal of how to have an outstanding, different content strategy...

During the discussion session, representatives of the leaders of Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, Nghe An Newspaper, Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center, and Information and Communication Magazine participated in the Seminar to exchange experiences in the process of managing press activities. At the same time, they shared the orientation of applying data journalism and outstanding content strategies at the unit, contributing to innovation, creativity, and sustainable development of the editorial office.
