DTO - This was the topic of a thematic discussion session at the "National Press Forum 2024" held on the afternoon of March 15th. This is one of the activities of the 2024 National Press Conference being organized in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Representatives from central and local press agencies and press and media experts attended.

Mr. Kah Whye Lee , representing the World Association of Newspapers and Publishers, presented a paper titled " Strategies for Superior Journalistic Content - Global Trends and Experiences ".
During the discussion session, experts in journalism and media from the World Association of Press and Publication, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and the Center for Information Technology Application (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics ) presented papers on: “Superior Journalism Content Strategy - Global Trends and Experiences”; “Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Superior Content Strategy and the Role of Data Journalism” . In addition, delegates also heard research papers on “Methods of Organizing and Implementing Data Journalism in Vietnamese Media Agencies” and “Applying Data Science to Develop Superior Journalism Content”.

Delegates and media experts participating in the seminar shared their experiences during the discussion session.
Through thematic discussions and presentations, media and journalism experts affirmed that data journalism holds a core position and role in the development of digital journalism worldwide and in Vietnam; it is a solution for implementing superior content strategies and enhancing the competitiveness of media organizations. Simultaneously, they analyzed the current situation and introduced effective methods in applying techniques and tools to analyze useful information from data. From there, each media organization needs to research and propose solutions to achieve a superior and distinctive content strategy...
During the discussion session, representatives from the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, Nghe An Newspaper, Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center, and Information and Communication Magazine participated in a seminar to exchange experiences in managing journalistic activities. They also shared their orientations for applying data journalism and superior content strategies within their respective organizations, contributing to the innovation, creativity, and sustainable development of their newsrooms.
