In recent days, traffic volume on the Truong Son route has increased significantly. Besides container trucks transporting goods from the seaport area, Hoa Cam Industrial Park, and the Central Highlands provinces, hundreds of vehicles serving the construction of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai - Tuy Loan expressway interchange project are constantly in operation.
In addition, dump trucks and trucks carrying soil, rocks, sand, gravel, and construction materials move continuously at a high frequency, causing further damage to the already deteriorated road surface. Many potholes have appeared, and the road surface is peeling off, posing a safety hazard to road users.
Dust, noise, and exhaust fumes from thousands of vehicles every day are directly impacting the quality of life for residents. Businesses selling food and drinks along the roadside are also affected as customers are wary of the polluted environment.
While the project to connect National Highway 14B with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway is underway, hundreds of vehicles, including dump trucks and trucks carrying soil and rocks, operate continuously on the route every day, putting immense pressure on the road surface. Many vehicles spill soil and rocks onto the road, creating thick layers of dust or mud when it rains.
In addition, one of the factors that complicates traffic on the Truong Son route is the large number of training vehicles from the Hoa Cam Driving Training Center that regularly operate on the route.
At various times of the day, training vehicles share the road with container trucks, heavy trucks, and motorcycles. Meanwhile, heavy vehicles frequently change lanes, accelerate, or brake suddenly, creating a constant risk of accidents. Many residents have suggested that a more appropriate traffic management solution is needed to alleviate pressure on this already overloaded road.

According to the Department of Construction, the Truong Son road section from Hoa Cam overpass to the intersection with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, which is part of National Highway 14B, is managed by the Vietnam Road Administration, and the Department of Construction is the agency authorized to directly manage the road.
Specifically, the section at the intersection with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway from Km23+823 to Km23+993 is managed by the Da Nang Expressway Project Management Board in conjunction with the expressway; however, this section is currently under construction as part of the National Highway 14B interchange project with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway…
National Highway 14B (the Truong Son section) is under immense pressure from freight transport and construction activities. A comprehensive solution is needed to control vehicle weight limits, address illegal parking, improve environmental sanitation, and upgrade the transportation infrastructure on this section of road.
