Currently, Phu Yen Water Supply Branch serves over 5,000 customers in Phu Yen commune (in the old Quang Huy town area). The main input water sources are from Tac stream and Ngot stream with 2 water treatment stations with a total capacity of 4,300 m3 /day and night. The water source area is zoned, with boundary markers placed to protect the water source; coordinate with local authorities to propagate and mobilize people to comply with regulations on water source protection.
Mr. Ngo The Nghia, Branch Director, said: We regularly check the water quality in the upstream area. Treat the quality of the input water source by sedimentation and filtration, combined with chemical treatment, to ensure that the water source meets the standards of the Ministry of Health . The Branch has completed the installation of a separate raw water intake pipe, installed a large capacity pump at the level I pumping station. Completed the installation of a loss control meter and constructed a sludge discharge line for the discharge pipe from the level I station to the level II station.
Mr. Dinh Van Hoa, technician of Na Xa Water Supply Station, informed: During the operation of the water treatment station in the rainy season, we strictly followed the process of settling, filtering water, and treating water with Cloramin-B chemicals. After the water treatment process, we continued to test the water by machine, and when the indicators met the standards of the Ministry of Health, we pumped it into the supply system for people to use.
From 2024 to present, the Branch has organized a review and assessment of the water pipeline system from pumping stations to households with a length of over 50 km. The water supply is guaranteed to be stable; water treatment stations also apply software to monitor water pressure at the pumps. The main water pipe system is replaced with standard plastic pipes that can withstand good pressure, limiting the rate of water loss.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong, sub-zone 6, Phu Yen commune, shared: During the process of using water at home, I regularly check the water pipe system, repair broken points, and water leaks. Using water economically ensures a long-term water source and reduces the family's living expenses.
Ensuring the regular, continuous, timely and safe water supply for the people of Phu Yen Water Supply Branch has contributed to improving the quality of life of local people and towards building a green and sustainable new countryside.
