According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, as of 1:00 p.m. on August 31, storm No. 3 had the strongest wind near the storm center at level 15-16 (167-201 km/h), gusting to level 17, moving in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10 km/h.

At 1:00 p.m. on August 31, the center of storm No. 3 (storm Saola) was at about 21.2 degrees North latitude; 117.7 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea of ​​the North East Sea, about 430km East Southeast of Hong Kong (China).

Storm forecast (in the next 24 to 72 hours):

It is forecasted that due to the impact of the storm, the northern sea area of ​​the North East Sea will have strong storm winds of level 10-13, near the storm center of level 14-16, gusting above level 17; the sea will be very rough.

In the northeastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea, waves are 4.0-6.0m high, and near the storm center, waves are 8.0-10.0m high.
