At 1:00 p.m. on August 31, the center of storm No. 3 (storm Saola) was at about 21.2 degrees North latitude; 117.7 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea of the North East Sea, about 430km East Southeast of Hong Kong (China).

It is forecasted that due to the impact of the storm, the northern sea area of the North East Sea will have strong storm winds of level 10-13, near the storm center of level 14-16, gusting above level 17; the sea will be very rough.
In the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea, waves are 4.0-6.0m high, and near the storm center, waves are 8.0-10.0m high.
