Contrary to expectations, the first leg of the semi-final, played early this morning (2 AM on April 30th), resulted in a victory for the visiting team, PSG. Arsenal failed to capitalize on their home advantage to secure three points. This defeat means even greater difficulty as they must now play at PSG's Parc des Princes to seek a win. This seems almost impossible, given that PSG outplayed Arsenal in the first leg, and their home advantage will only amplify their strength.

The other semi-final will take place in the early hours of May 1st, with Barca facing Inter Milan, a match also considered to be evenly matched. In their last six official matches, Barca have only lost to Dortmund in the second leg of the quarter-finals, and that was also the only match they could afford to lose, having already won 4-0 in the first leg. Last weekend, Real Madrid's star-studded squad couldn't prevent Barca from winning the Copa del Rey in extra time after a thrilling 90 minutes.
In 2025, Barca will be unbeaten in 14 official home matches (11 wins, 3 draws). In 9 of these matches, the Catalan giants conceded at least 3 goals.

Inter reached the semi-finals in a remarkable performance, but their form is now worryingly declining. They suffered three consecutive defeats against Bologna, Milan (in the Coppa Italia), and Roma. Inter have been eliminated from the Coppa Italia, and their chances of winning the Scudetto are now slim, trailing Napoli by three points.
In those three disastrous matches, Inter failed to score a single goal.
With such poor form, Inter's chances of getting any points in Spain are very slim. However, some argue that despite their domestic struggles, Inter always perform well in European competitions. Who knows, they might rise again during this crisis, surprising a Champions League title contender. So, don't underestimate this tough opponent.

Coach Simone Inzaghi is very worried about the first leg of the semi-final. |
In the last six encounters between the two sides in the Champions League on Spanish soil, Barca completely dominated, winning five and drawing one. With their high form, excellent physical condition, and home advantage, Barca are more than capable of a resounding victory to comfortably advance to the final.
Barca will be without two central midfielders, Marc Casado and Marc Bernal, and most notably striker Robert Lewandowski due to injury. As for Inter, if Marcus Thuram doesn't recover in time, Marko Arnautovic will take the French striker's place in the attack. Defender Benjamin Pavard is also unlikely to be fit enough to start.
