The ban on car traffic across the new Cau Lau bridge and traffic diversion to ensure smooth traffic flow during bridge repairs (total estimated time: 60 days) are as follows: Phase 1 starts at 12:00 PM on December 23, 2024 and is expected to last until 12:00 AM on December 31, 2024; Phase 2 starts at 12:00 PM on February 13, 2025 and is expected to last until 4:00 PM on April 5, 2025.

Vehicles permitted to cross the bridge during the traffic diversion for repairs include: Ambulances (maximum speed 20km/h); Da Nang - Tam Ky buses with a load capacity of less than 5 tons (only allowed to cross the bridge from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, maximum speed 10km/h, one vehicle at a time); vehicles on emergency duty (maximum speed 20km/h); motorcycles, mopeds, and bicycles (only allowed to cross the bridge at a speed of 10-20km/h).

Vehicles permitted to cross the bridge must strictly follow the instructions of traffic control personnel and stay in the designated lanes.

The traffic diversion plan (for the area near the bridge and applicable to vehicles needing to enter Dien Ban and Duy Xuyen) is as follows: From North to South, vehicles with a load capacity exceeding 5 tons and passenger buses with more than 30 seats, upon reaching the intersection between the Vinh Dien bypass and the old National Highway 1 at km 947+00/QL1, should proceed along the old National Highway 1 for approximately 1.15 km, then turn right onto Phan Thuc Duyet road, and continue onto the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway to head south.

Vehicles with a payload of 5 tons or less and passenger buses with 30 seats or less can travel in the following directions: Upon reaching the intersection of the Vinh Dien bypass and the old National Highway 1 at km 947+00, vehicles should travel on the old National Highway 1 for approximately 1.15 km, then turn right onto Phan Thuc Duyet Street, and continue onto the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway to head south.

Alternatively, upon reaching the intersection of the Vinh Dien bypass and the old National Highway 1 at km 947+00/QL1, vehicles should travel approximately 1.15km on the old National Highway 1, then turn right onto Phan Thuc Duyet Street, continue to the intersection with Provincial Road 609, continue along Provincial Road 609, pass the interchange onto the expressway, turn left onto Do Dang Tuyen Street, cross Giao Thuy Bridge, then turn left onto National Highway 14H, and continue along National Highway 14H back to National Highway 1 to head south.

Please note that the section of National Highway 14H connecting Provincial Road 609B to National Highway 1 prohibits truck traffic during peak hours: 6:30 - 7:30, 11:00 - 13:30, and 17:00 - 18:00.

Traveling from South to North, vehicles with a load capacity of over 5 tons and passenger buses with more than 30 seats, upon reaching the intersection at km972+200 on National Highway 1 (Cay Coc intersection), turn left onto National Highway 14E to proceed onto the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway to head north.

Vehicles with a payload of 5 tons or less and passenger buses with 30 seats or less can travel in the following directions: Upon reaching the intersection at km972+200 on National Highway 1 (Cay Coc intersection), turn left onto National Highway 14E and proceed onto the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway to head north.

Alternatively, upon reaching the intersection at km955+900 on National Highway 1 at the Nam Phuoc junction (the intersection of Hung Vuong Street and National Highway 1), vehicles should turn left towards Tra Kieu, then proceed onto National Highway 14H, cross Giao Thuy Bridge, and then turn right onto Provincial Road 609 to return to National Highway 1 and head north (note that trucks are prohibited from circulating on National Highway 14H during peak hours).

Remote traffic diversion plan (vehicles traveling on the North-South route that do not need to enter Dien Ban or Duy Xuyen) can choose alternative routes. Specifically, for the North-South direction: Vehicles with a load capacity of more than 5 tons and passenger buses with more than 30 seats can turn from National Highway 1 onto National Highway 14B to enter the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway to go south, or they can choose to exit at the Ha Lam, Tam Ky, or Chu Lai interchanges.

Vehicles with a payload of 5 tons or less and passenger buses with 30 seats or less can travel in the following directions: From National Highway 1, turn onto National Highway 14B and enter the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway to head south, or choose to exit at the Ha Lam, Tam Ky, or Chu Lai interchanges.

Alternatively, upon reaching the intersection of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street and National Highway 1 (Southern Bus Station of Da Nang City), turn left onto Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street and go straight towards the sea, then turn right onto Lac Long Quan Street and go straight to Vo Chi Cong Street, crossing Cua Dai Bridge, and continue south along Vo Chi Cong Street.

Heading from South to North, vehicles with a payload exceeding 5 tons and passenger buses with more than 30 seats can turn left from National Highway 1 onto the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway at the Chu Lai - Tam Ky interchange to head north. Alternatively, vehicles can choose to return to National Highway 1 from the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway at the Phong Thu and National Highway 14B interchanges.

Vehicles with a payload of 5 tons or less and passenger buses with 30 seats or fewer can travel in the following directions: From National Highway 1, turn left onto the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway at the Chu Lai - Tam Ky interchange to head north. Alternatively, vehicles can choose to return to National Highway 1 from the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway at the Phong Thu or National Highway 14B interchanges; or from National Highway 1, upon reaching the Chu Lai overpass, turn right onto Vo Chi Cong Road and follow the coastal road north; or from National Highway 1, upon reaching the intersection of National Highway 14E and National Highway 1, turn right onto National Highway 14E onto the coastal road and follow the coastal road north.

For vehicles traveling on the North-South route that do not need to pick up or drop off goods or passengers within Quang Nam province, Road Management Area III recommends using the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway and the Ho Chi Minh Highway.
