Arresting a wanted fugitive who was on the run.

On the morning of November 12th, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the An Giang Provincial Police announced that they had arrested and extradited Nguyen Van Lam (born in 1998, residing in Tri Ton commune, An Giang province) from Ho Chi Minh City back to the locality. Lam was a fugitive wanted for the crime of "Intentional infliction of injury".

According to the case file, at approximately 11 PM on January 31st, Nguyen Van Lam, along with Duong Van Truong and several others, were drinking at Huynh Van Thinh's house in Cay Me hamlet, Chau Lang commune, Tri Ton district, An Giang province (now Tri Ton commune, An Giang province).

During a drinking session, Truong cursed at the people at the table. Angered, Lam grabbed a square piece of wood about 1 meter long and hit Truong on the head, causing 7% injury, before fleeing the area.

On October 7th, the An Giang Provincial Police Investigation Agency issued an arrest warrant for Lam for the crime of intentionally causing injury.

Police arrested Nguyen Van Lam while he was hiding on a barge.

After a period of hiding in various locations, on the night of November 10th, Lam was arrested by detectives from the An Giang Provincial Police Investigation Agency in coordination with the Rach Tra Waterway Police Station of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department while hiding on a barge traveling on the river in the Phu Hoa Dong commune area of ​​Ho Chi Minh City.
