Suspect arrested for cutting and stealing electrical wires.

On the morning of January 8th, Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police) announced that they had handed over Nguyen Chi Tam (born in 1996, residing in Tan Dien Hamlet, Vinh Thong Ward, An Giang Province) to the Vinh Thong Ward Police for further investigation, after he was caught red-handed committing a crime by patrol officers.

Items seized.

Earlier, at around 3 PM on January 7th, a patrol team from Traffic Police Team No. 2 was conducting patrols to ensure traffic safety and order on routes in the area.

Upon arriving at the Vo Van Kiet street area (Vinh Thong ward), the task force spotted Tam driving a motorcycle without a license plate, exhibiting suspicious behavior, so they signaled him to stop for inspection.

Upon seeing the police, the suspect refused to comply, instead accelerating and fleeing, crashing into a bush by the roadside and throwing a sack into the bushes. At this point, the pursuing task force arrived and ordered the suspect to stop the vehicle for inspection.

The suspect Nguyen Chi Tam has been arrested.

Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be unregistered, and inside the sack were a roll of electrical wire and a pair of pliers. Tam confessed to having just stolen electrical wire at Rach Gia 1 Bridge, in Vinh Thong Ward. The task force proceeded to arrest the suspect along with the vehicle and the stolen goods.
