Frying chicken in an air fryer is becoming a new cooking trend for busy housewives.
Marinate and steam the chicken until cooked through.
Soak the chicken thighs in 300ml of fresh milk for about 30 minutes, then remove and drain. Peel the shallots and garlic, chop them finely, and put them in a bowl with 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 tablespoon of seasoning powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper.
Mix the ingredients well and marinate for 30 minutes. You can use a fork to prick the chicken skin to help the marinade penetrate faster. After marinating, arrange the chicken in a steamer and steam for 15-20 minutes, then remove and place on a plate to cool.
Dip the chicken in the wet batter and then in the dry batter.
Prepare the wet batter mixture by combining: 50g crispy frying flour, 1/2 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 tablespoon seasoning powder, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper, 1 tablespoon chili sauce, 2 chicken eggs, and 50ml fresh milk in a bowl and stir well.
In another bowl, mix 100g of breadcrumbs with 100g of crispy batter mix. Dip the chicken thighs in the wet batter mixture, then dip them in the dry batter. Repeat this process a second time, dipping the chicken in the wet batter and then coating it with the dry batter.
