The inauguration ceremony for a national standard school located on public land in Ward 6, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, took place with great fanfare in the historic month of April. The school buildings were brightly decorated with red flags and yellow stars. This is one of the key projects under the 4,500-classroom project, celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School was adorned with flags and flowers to welcome visiting delegates on its inauguration day.
Many schools were inaugurated, building a modern and comprehensive education system.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, congratulated the city's education and training sector, Tan Binh district, teachers, students, and parents on the addition of new, spacious, and modern national standard school buildings. The project not only has educational significance but also contributes to upgrading urban infrastructure, improving the landscape, connecting transportation, and promoting socio -economic and cultural development in Tan Binh district. This project is a testament to the determination of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City in building a modern and comprehensive education system.

The school complex project commenced on December 12, 2023, and comprises four component projects.
Component Project 1 is Son Ca Kindergarten. The school has a campus area of 6,348.5 m² ; construction land area: 2,120.1 m² ; total construction floor area: 7,750.2 m² . The school consists of one ground floor and three upper floors, with 20 classrooms, functional rooms, and a kitchen.
Son Ca Kindergarten has the capacity to accommodate up to 700 students. The total investment, including construction costs, equipment costs, and other expenses, is over 122 billion VND.

The second component project is Hung Vuong Primary School. The school has a campus area of 9,432.5 m² ; a construction land area of 3,322.4 m² ; and a total construction floor area of 9,740.0 m² . The school has one ground floor and three upper floors, with 30 classrooms, functional rooms, a canteen, and a multi-purpose gymnasium. The school can accommodate a maximum of 1,000 students. The total investment is over 147 billion VND (including construction costs, equipment costs, and other costs).
Third is Mac Dinh Chi Junior High School. The campus area is 12,283.5 m² ; the construction land area is 4,025.18 m² ; the total floor area is 13,121.98 m² . The school has one ground floor and three upper floors, with 45 classrooms, functional rooms, a canteen, and a swimming pool. It can accommodate up to 2,000 students. The total investment is over 196 billion VND (including construction costs, equipment costs, and other costs).

The fourth component project is the construction of transportation infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and support for the investment and construction of a cluster of public schools according to national standards in the public works land area of Ward 6, Tan Binh District.
The project scope includes Chấn Hưng road (325.58 m), Hưng Hóa road (214.39 m), Road No. 1 and Alley 769 Cách Mạng Tháng Tám (322.93 m), Road No. 2 (181.52 m), Road No. 3 (126.75 m), Alley 783 Cách Mạng Tháng Tám (139.27 m), an alley connecting Hưng Hóa road with Alley 783 Cách Mạng Tháng Tám (77.46 m), and a green park and sports area with an area of 10,991.51 m² . The total investment is VND 690.001 billion (of which construction costs: VND 109.258 billion; costs to support the use of crops by households for project implementation: VND 580.743 billion).

The Tan Binh District People's Committee stated that the project to build a cluster of three schools meeting national standards, along with the construction of transportation infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and support for the investment in building a cluster of public schools, aims to promptly meet the demand for classrooms, ensuring the effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program and the Project on ensuring physical facilities for preschool and general education in the period 2017-2025 as directed by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Furthermore, investing in the construction, renovation, and upgrading of school facilities contributes to completing the education network in the district, ensuring that 100% of students attend school for two sessions per day, that class sizes meet the required standards, and gradually improving the overall quality of education.
