The event was filled with excitement as more than 200 athletes and volunteers participated in a series of games.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a series of lively activities were organized, including a series of games such as sack racing, water carrying, basketball shooting, and especially the game of kicking a ball with one's legs tied together… creating a joyful and bustling atmosphere with enthusiastic cheers from the large crowd. Simultaneously, delegates and the public also visited the exhibition space showcasing photographs on rural development at the Provincial Museum; the book display model at the Provincial Library; and participated in mobile book and newspaper services and many attractive games for students.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and local authorities presented commemorative flags to the participating units.

In the Propaganda and Understanding of New Rural Development competition, each team successively went through 3 stages: Introducing successful models and practices in their locality, and specific contributions to the new rural development criteria; Handling situational problems; and Answering questions from the judging panel, revolving around issues related to the implementation of new rural development in their locality.

The teams competed in the section promoting the new rural development program.

Sharing at the event, propagandist Giang Thi Diem Thy (Tran Van Thoi commune) said that the team had meticulously prepared everything from the games to the propaganda content, closely adhering to local realities, especially the potential and strengths such as rice-shrimp farming, rice-fish farming, vegetable cultivation, aquaculture (shrimp, crab, snakehead fish), fruit tree cultivation; developing cooperatives and cooperative groups, and emulation movements to build new rural areas.

"Through this festival, we not only showcased our achievements but also had the opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from experience, and adopt good models and innovative approaches to apply more effectively in building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas in our locality," Ms. Thy expressed.

Evaluating the quality of the competition, Mr. Le Minh Ut, Head of the Department of Culture and Family Management and Head of the Judging Panel, emphasized: The 2025 competition took place in the context of localities operating a two-tiered local government model after mergers, opening up new development opportunities and creating momentum to promote socio -economic development associated with building new rural areas. The participating teams were well-prepared, using vivid illustrations and presentations; they introduced many effective, creative, and practical models.

In particular, many of the communicators are directly involved in mobilizing and implementing the model at the grassroots level, resulting in rich, persuasive content that achieves high results. This contributes to achieving the core goal of building new rural areas: improving people's lives, supporting disadvantaged households to escape poverty sustainably, and building developed and civilized localities.

Many activities include mobile book and newspaper services and various engaging games for students.

At the end of a lively day of competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the leg-tied soccer game to the team from Tri Phai commune; the first prize in the relay game to Chau Thoi commune; and the first prize in the rural development propaganda competition to Tran Van Thoi commune.

The 2025 New Rural Development Festival of Ca Mau province is not only a healthy and beneficial playground but also an opportunity for officials, Party members, Youth Union members, association members, and the people to meet, interact, share experiences, and spread good practices and effective models. From there, it strengthens the spirit of solidarity and creativity, working together to build new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies in the period of development and integration.
