During the New Year's Day, Lunar New Year, and Spring Festival season of the Year of the Snake 2025, the Nuoc Ngam Bus Station anticipates a significant increase in the number of passengers traveling to and from Hanoi to other provinces and cities.
Passengers are expected to flock to bus stations for routes to provinces such as Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh . The number of passengers during this period is likely to increase by 140-150% compared to normal days.
Passengers will gather in large numbers at the bus station on Friday afternoon (January 24, 2025), Saturday (January 25, 2025), Sunday afternoon (February 2, 2025), and Monday morning (February 3, 2025) for routes to the provinces of Hai Phong , Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh.
Therefore, this bus station proposed that the Hanoi Department of Transport increase the number of passenger buses to provinces such as Hai Phong, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh by 100.
The Nuoc Ngam bus station requires transport companies to sign a commitment not to carry more passengers than the number of seats allowed, to provide sufficient tickets to the station, to display ticket prices clearly inside and outside the vehicle, and not to charge more than the registered ticket price.
There are plans in place to manage and promptly deploy additional vehicles to alleviate passenger congestion during peak days, preventing prolonged or overnight overcrowding at the bus station.
At the same time, the leaders of Nuoc Ngam Bus Station requested the station management board to strengthen inspection work, prevent businesses from arbitrarily increasing ticket prices, and strictly comply with state regulations on inter-provincial passenger transport. They also emphasized ensuring good environmental hygiene and providing attentive, convenient, safe, civilized, and courteous service to passengers.
Drivers and co-drivers are required to commit to not transporting flammable or explosive materials, prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, or overloading their vehicles.
At the same time, plans are in place to inspect vehicles and prepare additional vehicles to alleviate passenger congestion during peak hours. On days with high passenger volumes requiring early clearance, the station will flexibly address the situation, mobilizing additional vehicles at appropriate times.
To ensure safety and order during the upcoming Tet holiday, Nuoc Ngam Bus Station will closely coordinate with Hoang Liet Ward Police, other police forces, and the Hoang Mai District Transport Inspectorate to promptly inspect and handle vehicles violating transport regulations and road traffic laws inside and outside the bus station.
Strengthen inspection and control of vehicles entering to pick up passengers according to transportation regulations, especially checking documents such as: registration, vehicle inspection certificate, driver's license, fixed route sticker, quality insurance, fire safety equipment, driver's identity, and coordinating with drivers to check goods and luggage according to regulations...
We are determined to prevent vehicles that do not meet quality standards, are overloaded, or whose drivers are under the influence of alcohol or stimulants from departing, in order to ensure the safety of passengers and their property.
