After receiving the information, Duc Pho Traffic Police Station coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of Quang Ngai Provincial Police and Khanh Cuong Commune Police to quickly deploy forces and implement professional measures, while blocking and checking passenger vehicles moving through the area.

At 6am on September 16, the working group discovered NQT on a passenger bus with license plate 29K and took him to Khanh Cuong Commune Police. At the same time, they informed Tien Phong Ward Police, Bac Ninh Province and NQT's family.

Through preliminary verification results, after dropping out of school, NQT intended to find a job. On September 14, 2025, he went on Facebook to look for a job and a strange account sent him a message inviting him to "easy work, high salary" and asked him to provide a contact phone number.

When I gave my phone number, a woman called me, calling herself “Ngan” and directing me to a bus company at Nuoc Ngam Bus Station, Hanoi , and giving me the phone number, a bus would take me to Ho Chi Minh City. This person asked me to delete all the messages and phone numbers I had contacted and not to inform my family.

Because I believed the subject, I followed the instructions. When getting in the car, the subject asked me to take a picture and send it to him via Zalo.

After confirming that NQT had boarded the vehicle, the subject asked me to send my bank account number, then the subject used an unknown bank account to transfer me 400,000 VND for food expenses.

At noon on September 16, NQT's relatives were present at Duc Pho Traffic Police Station to pick him up.

The case was also handed over to Tien Phong Ward Police, Bac Ninh Province, for further investigation and handling.
